    Hello everyone :hello:

Not posted for absolutely AGES so I thought I had better catch up with the thread - and all I can say is WOW FedUp!!! That's AMAZING!!! :T :T :T You are certainly an inspiration - and I wish you lots of luck with your next 100!

Had to get conditioner for DD and mouthwash in the week along with deodorant as we had run out. Will need to get gel spray next week too - hair products like that I don't seem to have a problem with.

Saw the Neal's Yard freebie offer with Marie Claire in Martin's e-mail and did consider getting it - magazines aren't in my challenge and technically the moisturiser was free! Went to the Metrocentre last weekend and Smiths was HEAVING so I didn't bother - hurray for mad Saturday shoppers!!

Ran out of my Sanctuary work hand cream this week so taking a Virgin Vie one in on Monday that I'm not that keen on. I leave it out on my desk and everyone tends to use it so that should go quick!

Saw some of Liz on Friday but wasn't really tempted - except by the set with the lovely hanging toiletry bag (think it might've been a One Time Only) - not for the products but for the bag (which I also don't need!). Anyway thank goodness it was sold out before I had time to do anything about it! Didn't watch any on Saturday - actually forgot she was on  - that's a MASSIVE change for me. At one time I would've had it written in my diary FGS - how sad is THAT?!! :rotfl:

Hope everyone has had a good weekend and is holding up well!

    Hello everybody,

I've been so busy lately I haven't had time to post (or even lurk!!!) however I've got insomnia this evening so I'm getting the chance to catch up with the thread.

Congratulations Fedup on finishing your last challenge......and welcome aboard again for the next 100 days.:T

Everybody sounds to be doing so well.

I have a confession to make (another) ;) , I bought a magazine today, tut-tut, in my defence I was on my way home from working hard and called in to the supermarket for some bread and at the checkout was a magazine with some juicy gossip on the front, what can I say, my defences were down and I was tired, so I bought it. The magazine took me probably a total of 15 mins to read so it well wasn't worth the money and now I feel bad (maybe that's why I can't sleep).

Anyway on a positive note I'm down to my last facial moisturizer and I've been trying to work out whether a 60ml tube will last me til the end of this challenge (10th April) and then another 100 days. Maybe it's a challenge within a challenge, ooooohhhhh.

    Anyway sorry for waffling.

    Toodles.

Hi all, I don't post very often but I am still here lurking. Well done to everyone!
My "no hair products" challenge is still going well. We had people to stay at the weekend which involved moving my stash of hair and skincare out the way, and I realised that I probably have enough of both to last me another 100 days.
So I though that I would expand my current challenge and add skincare products in as well (face only not body). So I won't buy any more with money, Boots points or Boots coupons - unless it's completely free with a coupon and I can't use it for anything else - cos otherwise that would just be moneywasting wouldn't it!

Three quarters of the way there.
Just bought a packet of crisps to have with lunch. Did bring everything else with me, but fancied something else .... you know how it is!!!!
On the toiletries side, no problems at all. Took a couple of weeks, but then the habit was broken.

Hi guys, just catching up on how everyone is doing and by the sounds of it, people are doing very well!

My no choc challenge is going well and i am not tempted by chocolate very often, although easter will be hard unless i can force my OH to buy me some!!

The no beauty products is also going well and i haven't bought any and i have managed to finish off one of my cleansers so am starting on one that is around three years old!! I am currently using one of my hand creams as a face moisturiser as i am trying to get it used up. The next odd combination i am using is a foot cream as a body lotion, its a lavender foot cream, but i don't tend to use them and it would get binned or sit there for years, so decided to use it as something else. Its certainly giving me lovely soft skin!!

  • Have been testing myself all day with the dreaded QVC :D
I have resisted the Lock n Lock, despite thinking for ages that I need some more..... and now I'm resisting the beauty products... I have bought something :o BUT its a present for my Mum for her birthday next month, so that is fine with me :)

I'm going to jump in now as a warm up to the next 100 days challenge!
I'll go without magazines and DVDs- two of my weaknesses. Hopefully I'll join in for the start of the next challenge!

    Update time from me.
:o I have had 2 blips this week ordering from QVC :o I fell and ordered a decleor skincare set the other night and then the northern nights pillow TSV.

Back on track now. I think I congratulated myself a bit too much on the successes of the last 100 days. I am finding this very hard again. I feel I have slipped back a few steps again rather than keeping going forwards. I'm not back at square one completely but my motivation has waned a little in some respects. Maybe it is a natural dip after the elation of doing so well?

Gotta keep strong and resist the power of the beauty industry and QVC

More positively, I have listed OPI nail varnishes on ebay and cleared a shelf in my bathroom cupboard of things I can't see myself using, ready to photograph and list after the weekend. I'm going to sort some make up kits to list and sell for other people to use rather than me keep and not use.

Come on Fedup, put the boots back on your blistered feet and overcome the discomfort for the long road ahead. This is a long road and you are only a short way along it. In your mind you thought you were further along the way than you were....

  • Don't be too hard on yourself fedup... think of what you would have bought if you hadn't been doing the challenge at all!?! I think we can all be excused of a blip or two.... especially if it is an actual addiction for you, you can't just switch it off like a light. And besides, you have got a lot of stuff listed/to be listed, so you are definately mking progress!
You may not be as far along as you first thought, but you're not as far back as you now think!
