Hello everyone,
Just thought I'd do a little update of what I have used up this month.
1x Decleor hydrotenseur eye firming serum 15ml
1x Elemis lavender repair mask 20ml
1x Elemis gentle rose exfoliator 20ml
1x Liz Earle Energising Body Wash
The thread inspired me to use up the mask and exfoliator as they have been open for yonks and turned out they had 2 very generous applications left in them.
Next things to be used up will be the Liz Earle Gentle Exfoliator which I love and would repurchase however there are far too many full tubes of exfoliators in the cupboard to go!Also opened up a Molton Brown shower gel. I have no idea how long I have had this for! It's very nice tho!
Found a couple of bits out for ebay but haven't got round to photographing them yet.
The bathroom cupboard is looking a little bit emptier and my storage drawers in my bedroom which hold my stash are slowly emptying out.
I have stocked up on Charles Worthington Hair bargains in Wilkinsons which are being sold for £1.50 instead of £4-5 everywhere else. I decided to give them a try instead of always buying the expensive hair care ranges from QVC.(Ojon anybody?? £23+ for a conditioning spray???? What was I thinking???:o )
I am surprised to say I really like the products, as with my product addiction I became a bit of a hair care snob depsite the fact my hair looked a mess most of the time! The hair repair mask and frizz repair conditioner and spray come in at £1.50 for full size as opposed to £1.61 for the takeawaytravel sizes in Boots. I've also tried some of the styling products which I really like too. So instead of spending £50 in boots for the equivalent I spent £15 in Wilko'sIf I was still spending at QVC I would probably have spent £60-90, that's why I am v.happy about this

I just got carried away putting this on the £15k thread and then realised it belonged here...
I just depressed myself by realising that I won't need to buy body wash, bath stuff or body cream (or fake tan) for about three years (and that is being generous about how much I can possibly use). I thought I was doing so well (and I have made a lot more space) but there is STILL so much of it (not helped by the stuff my family gave me for Christmas, lovely of them as they know how much I love smellies, but not really needed:o - or wanted the ungrateful little mare in me says) Mind you shampoo, mouthwash and toothbrushes are now totally under control and toothpaste is on its way there so a small :T
Next step, drop into conversation with parents etc that I have had a sort out and have discovered that I have enough smellies to last me that long, perhaps I should get them to buy me toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash and shampoo next yearnot so nice for them to buy but definitley more along the lines of what I would need
Fedupandskint - that is very handy to know, I have got through all of my shampoo reserves too so can actually buy some!!!!!! I have started using Charles Worthington too - I used to be a L'Occitaine shampoo and conditioner girl (£12 vs £5 was pleasing enough - and now you tell me £1.50 !!!!!!)
Right, am off to put a mini night cream on my legs and arms
ETA: TMI??? but in my sorting out of bathroom I did a 'stocktake' on my 'feminine hygiene products' which I also used to buy all the time for fear of running out and I have 92, yes 92!! tampons!! on top of a more normal 32 sanitary towels and even more normal 21 panty liners - I also found a manicure kit, a penand 6 individually wrapped 'moist feminine wipes' that I must have got as a freebee in something) and some spare heel tips from a pair of shoes

Just to add about feminine products...you could always try a mooncup from Boots and other places to replace tampons. A one off payment, quite dear in some ways but no more need to buy tampons ever again. Once you get used to it (can be a strange experience at first! ) well worth the money in my opinion and now I only ever buy liners for the start and finish of this time. I got fed up of how the other things felt and how much they cost too. Sorry if you didn't want to know this but I thought it was worth mentioning re moneysaving and cutting back!
I worked out I saved £100 pounds on the Charles Worthington products compared to buying the same amount in Boots. I have stocked up to last me the next year. The only thing I may run out of now is shampoo but not for a couple of months at least. Everything else is accounted for and under control!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Hi everyone, I have been away for a while but I have not brought anything. I have now got loads of room for all the bottles of shampoo, shower gel, soap etc. I think I have used a whopping 30 bottles lol! I am now starting to get low on moisturiser, conditioner but will make it stretch till the 100 days are up. I am now using my Lush products up and enjoying using them.I am full of joy, abundance, wealth and love.I am a money magnet. I actually have oneof these already, but after a VERY traumatic first go I abandoned ship (or cup - lol)
Maybe I should dust it off and give it another go??£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

I found it traumatic the first time, I persevered and it got much easier as you get used to it and now after 3 yrs I wouldn't go back. The first month was the hardest then it got a bit easier the next time and so on.
The first time is traumatic for most people I think as my friends found it the same as me and broke out in a panic-type sweat thinking we would have to go to A+E! Then after this it became easier.
Hope this is a bit more reassuring for you PAIND, if you give it a go expect it to be difficult the first time it is removed then try a keep calm and give it another go and I hope it gets easier for you!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

That is exactly the same as me, and without going into too much detail, I had very long nails at the time and that wasn't helping my plightfedupandskint wrote: »Hope this is a bit more reassuring for you PAIND, if you give it a go expect it to be difficult the first time it is removed then try a keep calm and give it another go and I hope it gets easier for you!
It is, at least it is scary as hell for everyone, I will have another go when the next one comes along and see if I can do it. Thanks hun.£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Have just finished another moisturiser, and am now on the last inch in the bottom of the last one I have... well its not technically the last one, but the other two are those gradual tan ones, so if I use those before buying anymore, I will look like I've had a very dodgy fake tan job or a fight with the Tango man! So I will have to buy another one, and use the tan ones at the same time.
One added bonus about doing this challenge is that I have discovered a new favourite moisturiser amongst all the ones I've had.... and its a £5 Boots Botanicals one:T .... I've also discovered an alternative to the LE Orangeflower Bodywash, again its only £5 and its virtually chemical free which means I can use it on DS too - I bought him a fairly cheap one from the supermarket, and his skin has gone quite dry - and will cost a lot less than the LE one (although its still my favourite)
So I'll be buying a new moisturiser soon... and a new mascara - have nearly finished one, and I have a voucher which means I can get a mascara for £1

I've had a slight slip - bought 2 packs of 99p no17 makeup removing wipes in order to get a free nail varnish with each. I've tried to persuade myself that these are makeup and not skincare, because 17 doesn't make skincare, but I'm on slightly dodgy ground here. But 2 really nice colours in small pots, which I like, as I don't use much nail varnish and end up throwing it away after a couple of years.
Well done to everyone who is staying on target.0 -
I had a bit of a blip. My OH did a cheese tasting survey and gave me the voucher to spend but my purchase was for more then the voucher-which he paid for. Does this count as a spend? I am naughty but I got a great GWP included:D and I have been good for so long:grinheartThailand 3010/15000 20150
