  • gomer don' t be so naive - what do you think he meant by his dog has had a few cats - it isn't an 18 year old lad talking about his conquests you know.

    I do know that no law has been broken if the cat is killed in the dog owner's garden DEFRA details that (note I said could well , not would in my post), however I would say that an eloquent cat owner with a sympathetic RSPCA officer could well demonstate that that dog was potentially dangerous. If the RSPCA recommended euthanasia on the grounds of aggression of a Japanese Akita it would be a brave and foolhardy magistrate to not grant the order.

    The dangerous dogs act states that if a dog LOOKS like one of the banned breeds that is enough, so if you think it is a cross and looks enough like a banned dog you should be reporting it.
