Hi Tops,
I agree with what everyone else has said and if you don't enjoy cooking then smoothies or fruit salads are the way to go. Plums are great for flavouring vodka, you have to wait a while (six months) before it's drinkable, but at least they won't be wasted.

if you can bake a simple victoria sponge - fruit can be added to the mixture and any extra can be frozen.

If you make a fruit salad and put it in the fridge, it's amazing how these fruit avoiders suddenly become keen.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -

As is often the case if you buy purely because its a bargain it is often a false economy, either you end up eating too much or you leave it to rot, especially with perishables. That's why about a quarter of food is thrown out in the UK and another quarter is simply excess calories.0

Fruit can be frozen - and the fruit salad in the fridge idea is a brill one. It takes ages for some fruit to become wrinkly and even then it is edible.
Enjoy it!0 -

We've other posts on what people have done with fresh fruit so I'll merge this to keep suggestions together.

I came across a recipe for fruit cocktail in my bottling book. It had never occurred to me to try to make it. However, its a good idea for using up old fruit.
Here's what went into my version.
3 pears
4 apricots
Half a bunch of green grapes
2 clementines
Peel, stone and de-stalk everything. Cut into half inch cubes and cut the clementine segments in half. Put into a large microwaveable dish. Don't worry about mixing it at this stage. Add half a mug of cold water.
Cover and microwave on full for three minutes. Stir and repeat twice more.
Leave to cool and serve at room temperature or keep in the fridge for up to 2 days. Serve with leftover cream or Greek yoghurt.0
