Blackberries & eating apples
Anyone got recipes for a pineapple?
Pomegranates
Ideas for a past its best Galia melon....
What to do with a glut of strawberries?
Clementines - what to do with them?
Kiwi Fruit
what can i do with a bagful of grapes?

It should last a little, longer, so if I were you I'd offer fresh fruit at ever meal.
Melon or pineapple for breakfast is delicious, or berries on porridge/cereal or with yogurt
Clementines as snacks through the day
Kiwi fruits halved and eaten with a teaspoon like a boiled egg
Smoothies, as previously suggested. Most fruit freezes well when juiced, so if you have a juicer or liquidizer you can make up batches for future use - but you might well find that if you have these (without yogurt or milk in, as then they're less filling) once a day, you'll soon get through it.
Fruit salad or pavlova with masses of fruit
Pomegranate - either use in fruit salad, or with lamb/game in a salad. Or steep in vodka. Kids like eating these, as they're fiddly, and its like playing with your food...

As this has fallen from the front page of OS, I'll add it to the existing thread on using up fruit

Hi All,
After buying a lovely array of fruit for Christmas and none of it being touched (we gorged on chocolates instead!), I am loathed to throw it out.
Can anyone suggest recipes for the following fruits:
Apples
Blackberries
Pineapple
Pomegranates
Melon
Strawberries
Clementines
Kiwi Fruits
Grapes
I have already earmarked the apples and blackberries for a pie - but if anyone has any better suggestions?
Also there is no way we are going to eat all that I make straight away so ideas for recipes that can be frozen would be great.
Thank you all.
How about a yummy fruit salad
As you have quite a lot, you can use it as dessert for a few days running.
Just peel (where necessary) and chop up the fruit and add fruit juice. (The juice even helps to preserve the fruit)
You can add cream if you please.2008 Wins: The Shapes - Get Your Learn On (CD), Free transport to and from a Christmas Party2009 Wins: Years Supply of Orbit Complete (144 packets), £50 of Odeon vouchers

Do you like smoothies?
I had 2 very sad looking bananas in my fruit bowl last week and thought of making banana bread ,but couldn't be bothered! So I made a smoothie with skimmed milk,a teaspoon of honey, the bananas and some defrosted blueberries. It was delicious, filling and healthy.HTH.0 -
I'd also go down the smoothie route... yum!Man plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0

i use bananas instead of sugar in a fruit loaf.
1 cup oats or weetabix or musli
1 cup dried fruit like sultanas
1 cup sugar (i use bananas)
1 cup milk
mix together (i also put in cinnamon) and leave for a few hours.
Mix in 1 cup SR flour.
bake on 180 for about an hour. i use a loaf tin.
i have it for breakfast with a bit of butter on.0 -
