cocalls, for heavens sake get some sleep, have a lie in
I don't do lie ins unfortunatly i get the right amount of sleep just at different times to everyone else!!
As I said I would never usually encourage people to buy on credit but maybe you could use this just to arrange / purchase your holiday and provide you with sifficient breathing space for everyone else to repay you.

You make me feel guilty getting up so early............Many thanks ive just applied for that one to put my sisters debt on im not even sure if the trip will go ahead now some pople are getting cold feet....
If you need / want to balance transfer then perhaps this one might be better:

(3% transfer fee, min £3)Personal Responsibility - Sad but True
Sometimes.... I am like a dog with a bone0 -
cheers the bt fee will get added to my sisters debt but at the mo the interest is 29% so i presume she wont want to be paying that!
Will look at the nationwide one tho for my own use.0 -
OH got paid yest but his bank seems so slow in transfering the dosh to the joint acc so wont see that for a couple of days but drun roll pls we've now saved £2000.54 woooooooooooooooo wooooooooooooooooooooo
I can't belive its that much in (just) under 2 months it's amazing what you can acvhieve when you set your mind to it.
(The money was from the council tax & sky free month was just sitting in joint instant access account & i didnt even click doh!)0 -
Emptied my piggy bank yest (it's actually a red post box tin ive had since i was a child) and took it to HSBC to pay in.
I love their new coin paying in machine no more waiting until you have £1 in coppers you can just take any change along and it counts it and puts it straight in your account-how cool is that! The downside is that there's always queues and it breaks down alot but hey ho!
So i paid the grand total of £7.01 my philosophy is that all these little bits and bobs add up yet you don't really notice the money going. So total is now £2007.55.
Good bits from yest OH has started writing down his daily spends!! hurrah WE'll see how long it lasts but at least he's acknowledging he's rubbish with money as with OT he gets around £100/wk to spend just on him thats more than enough isn't it? So we shall see where all his dosh goes, fags, booze and snacks i think!
Another positive thing is that he's decided to give up booze for a while he's back playing tennis again and wants to get fitter which is good as that'll help me cut down too.
Also used tesco deals thingy for the first time yest, when our clubcard vouchers come throu i normally just spend them in tesco but you can get 4x their value with deals so with £5 of tesco vouchers i sent off for £20 for pizza express vouchers yum yum!!
The pizza express is for when we fancy a cheap night out with good food(we've got a real thing for their dough balls mmmmmmm)as ive been a little tougher with the food budget this week-ive basically bought enough food to last us for 2 weeks (will get some fruit nxt sat) ive put loads of stuff in the freezer (even milk) bought some frozen veg and tinned fruit) so we should manage it. Only spent £57 so maybe fiver on fruit & veg nxt week & we've 'saved' £38 woo woo.Wont add it yet to savings acc as i dont know if we'll managed yet!0 -
wow you are doing really well. This is inspiring me to try harder with my savings. Keep it up!0

Many thanks i actually think i can try much harder we went fossil hunting yest and forgot to take any packup so ended up buying something at a garage THIS MUST STOP_I WILL NOT SPEND ANYMORE ON FOOD! OH won 150 chuppa chubs (in its own v nice buket) at work on fri so we have sweets galore to last us!
Got email from Quidco today to say £21.50 has been deposited into my bank hurrah!0 -
OH money has come through so added it to savings now up to 2337.55 nearly half way!!!!!!!!!0
-
added the quidco money & the money left over from food so now up to £2376.33 altho OH is still really complaining re no money
Right im really really tierd now and am going back to bed0 -
i now have just over a fiver to last till nxt mon feeling totally skint and Oh is totally resentful of this challenge and doesn't understand why we're doing it.
Humph!
However mort rates have gone down so we'll have slightly more money yeeeaaahhh.
Can anyone tell me how to work out how much interest i'll make in this period? I have a yorkshire building acc which is 2.75.0
