Thanks Fullstop i have a terrible habit tho of lending people money and it not coming back to me. I loaned my mum £500 from my stsudent loan and she's gone bankrupt so no chance of that back, i lent my dad some money just before xmas as his business failed and he's now on JSA so had to buy reduced xmas pressies-he's paying me back v slowly, the friend that still owes £60, ive taken out 2 cc's for my sis,she pays me back plus interest but v slowly and its still my debt i suppose,(plus it might mean we get a reduced mort due to this debt) other sis finally paid me back for grans xmas pressie yest etc IT HAS TO STOP!!! No more will they use me as a bank!
I am trying to save for the first time in my life-i've actually not told my family that im doing this challenge as i know they'll ask to borrow it!!!
Anyway back to the CC i wil have to be really strict and make sure everyone pays me before the interest free period is up i must be strong and organised on this!!!0 -
cocalls, for heavens sake get some sleep, have a lie in
Do enjoy your diary, keep up the good work.
Whilst I would never encourage people to buy on credit, have you considered a 0% card for your holiday? You could then phase the repayment and also allow sufficient time for the other holiday makers to repay you etc.Anyway back to the CC i wil have to be really strict and make sure everyone pays me before the interest free period is up i must be strong and organised on this!!!
Halifax do one for 9 months 0% interest:

As I said I would never usually encourage people to buy on credit but maybe you could use this just to arrange / purchase your holiday and provide you with sifficient breathing space for everyone else to repay you.
