    Hi cocalls,

I've just discovered your diary and read it all the way through. Sounds like you're doing really well, keep up the good work.

Have you thought about getting a cashback credit card and using it for your expenses (groceries, railcard, petrol etc and for what bills you can) and setting it up to be paid off in full from your current account. That way you could put the cashback money in your savings account.

Remember to use cashback sites for any internet purchases
Make packed lunches to take to work
Drop a brand or 2 on all your groceries and cleaning products etc.

    And STOP lending people money!

    go for it!

I'm also looking at ways to cut down my monthly expenses as its so easy to spend money.

Do you really need a car? If you get the train to work? I'm planning on moving to a more central location, once done my car if history.

You mention telephone line as well as TV, if you have a BT line and SKY tv change over to get a SKY phone line, great option for cheap broadband and cheap line rental (not available in all areas?)

£85 each per week is quite a lot for entertainment if you take down to £55 each this will save you £240 a month.

Lunch's at work, most people i work with spend £5-£7 a day on lunch's / drinks? don't know what you do, but i spend £2 on a salad from ASDA or bring sandwiches, and once a every few of weeks i'll but a bottle of squash.

Sorry if these have been mentioned already.

PS maybe you should ask your managers for a pay rise.. I know we are in recession but if you don't ask you don't get.
