OH's best friend is being made redundant so its really sinking in with my oh that we need to save-im really pleased with him so far actually as normally any money he has he just has to spend it, but hes really knuckled down.

On a money saving note we've changed our cats pet food from those ridiclous pouches which have 100g in them to tins which have 400g in them and are the same price as the pouches-jeeze what suckers we were, hopefully that should save us quite a bit of money

    Hi Cocalls

It looks like you have the saving down to a fine art - I know how tough it can be, and that after a couple of months or so that it is begins to feel like hard work - I just wanted to say well done on what you have saved already, and you're over half way there in half the time that you have allowed- so you are ahead!!
Keep it up - and you will achieve your end result

Anyway im off to london for the week end staying with my sisters, we're celebrating mothers day and going to vineopolis (sp) for winetasting to use some vouchers we received at xmas.
Im harking back to my student days and going by coach so only cost £6.50 return from yorks then im off to lewes on fri to see a friend and got the £5 off train travel from martins email. Will try and keep spends to minimum but i know it'll be hard s my family are complete spendaholics so we'll see how we go!
