    Hi Jen-31

It's the same old story isn't it, when you've got the money, the time or the inclination to go shopping you can never find anything. That's life I'm afraid, just to keep you on your toes.

Lula-Hula is away at the moment, I'm sure she'll amend your spend total when she gets back.

Enjoy wearing the things you did manage to get, make it worth while.

    Hello everyone,

I'm back from a lovely relaxing holiday & amazingly I didnt put on any weight & even more amazingly I didnt buy any clothes at all . I did have a wander in a few shops but nothing appealed :D.

Happy New Clothes :) to museumworker & Jen-31, will update your totals in a bit, & Very Happy New Freebie Clothes :jto Puss14 & hurray for your lovely dad too :T.

Welcome to Miss-spent, the more the [STRIKE]madder[/STRIKE] merrier :D. I am very impressed with your personal challenge & if I am honest I could probably do that myself if I actually shifted that pesky stone that I carry about with me :rolleyes:. Thanks for that info about the clothes categories :T.

For some strange reason I love to clear out my wardrobe after a holiday & I've got rid of even more stuff & some shoes & boots too ... in spite of all this decluttering I still have plenty of clothes & will be aiming to spend as little as possible next year.

I have 2 huge stumbling blocks when it comes to my clothes; 1) I still dont fit into a lot of them  & 2) because I work from home I tend to not make enough effort with my oufits & consequently get bored with what I do wear everyday which leads me to think I need to buy more clothes .

Enough rambling :o off to page 1 to update the totals,

Thank you Kerfuffle for taking care of the thread in my absence :A

I could do with this too - NEED TO LOSE A STONE!!!!!!!

Better try a bit harder with the weightloss

Welcome back Lula - it sounds like a great holiday!

No clothes spends for me for August, another month over and done with. Definitely asking for clothes or money for clothes for my birthday to buy a nice winter skirt and a thinish jumper to wear with it as have stocked up on half price winter tights in Sainsbugs and have a couple of pairs of boots to wear with them. One skirt I love, would just like another one!

Hi, been to the gym today again-yesterday I did weights and today did C.V. work, didn't have time or energy to do both on one trip. Also walked to church and back which must be over a mile. Really got stiff legs. I am going to try and go to the gym three times a week- I pay £40 a month so should try and get my money's worth. I have dug out an unused sun/yoga mat that I got free from MOS years ago and want to do some sit ups the days I do not go to gym.

There are 16 weeks to Christmas week so a loss of 1LB a week is more than a stone gone.

I am going to dig out all my W watchers stuff from yesteryear and start tracking. (I don't want to pay to go to classes although they are very good.)

Sorry if I shouldn't be posting slimming stuff on a clothes thread.

"Just need to go drink some more peppermint tea now to help dissolve my headache - self induced "

I read somewhere that drinking two cups of green tea burns up approx 600 cals a week-as I don't mind it I am giving it a go.
  • Can I join in on this too please...

I have spent the last few days reading the entire thread and am now really inspired to slash my clothes costs. I have never really looked at ebay seriously for clothes but after reading here I have looked properly and am shocked at what is available.

I need to revamp my wardrobe for winter and have been given some money (£215) for my birthday. Before reading this thread that would have given me maybe 2 outfits, but not now!

I won't join the challenge officially as I have lost weight recently and now nothing fits very well. Also every year I buy a 'few' bits for my holidays so have lots of summer things and almost nothing for winter. Maybe next year.

But there is no doubt I will spend much less having read this!:T

Only problem is I now have 78 things in my ebay watch list!!!!!!!
