  • Well done
I think I've been OK so far. Weigh in Saturday. I'll be pleased with 1lb loss. I am going away October half term and half a stone by then would be great.
  • Well done on the weight loss ladies, the slower the weight loss the easier it is to keep off apparently... well that's my excuse for taking so long to shift a few pounds!

Was just about to declare a light green brocade coat I bought for £5 in a charity shop... however I have a dim recollection that coats don't count for the challenge? It has been much admired :D

Also, notice I have 'strike' written against my name on the member list - eek, what have I done?!

    Hello fabby peeps,

slow & steady as regards the weight loss. We're looking for the long term not the quick fix. Museum worker, you have done nothing wrong at all, I had a bit of trouble when adjusting the totals but thought I'd fixed it, so sorry, will have another go

    xx
  • Lost another 1LB this week which is good because it meant that I really lost the first two. Not been good today as visited a friend and had nice lunch etc.
Out as well for dinner tomorrow so proper dieting Monday.

Congrats everyone on the weight loss:T Ive lost 10kg since Feb so am averaging around a kilo a month lol, but I do believe slow weight loss is the way to go otherwise I find it comes back on with more and also good habits haven't been formed. Ive still got a fair bit of weight to lose, I am a bit over 5ft9 so can almost get away with extra weight, but just dont want to anymore. I just want to be a healthy weight that I feel good with. Even now I feel so much better and I went through my clothes the other day and got rid of some clown pants(well thats how they look now:D) to charity and unpacked some smaller size clothes I had stored in my top cupboard.

Its almost like having brought some new clothes so I feel quite happy with that. The only thing Im going to probably have to give in and buy in next couple of months are some bras, as while they still fit now if i keep losing Ill have to go down a size.
Hopefully if I keep losing weight and not buying clothes i can go out and treat myself at the ned of year and spend the whole $100on some clothes that really are flattering.

Hope everyone is well and Lula u are doing a great job with this thread:A

  • Yes, well done to everyone losing weight :T(I keep losing a pound or two during the week, and then 'finding' it again on the weekend!:o)

I realise I forgot to declare a cardigan from a couple of weeks ago - got a hobbs blue one, tie at front, cashmere mix for £3. Very smart for work (and good with jeans too). This challenge is definitely keeping me on the straight and narrow though. I bought a Coast dress, silk and green polka dot for £5 at the same time, but when I got home I realised I may not ever wear it. So have put it on ebay so that I don't have to take the total off my signature amount!:D

The wet look leggings are going back (when it stops raining outside:rotfl:!)

    Morning all,

Puss14 - Great news on the weight loss, you are doing brilliantly :j

Museumworker - Happy New Clothes :D will add your cardigan to the front page in a minute.

Well, I seem to have managed to keep that 2lb off inspite of some mid week fluctuations

I have also been putting all my summer clothes away :(. I am not going to declare how many tops, shorts etc there were that remained unworn throughout the summer, just believe me when I say there were many.

I dont appear to have many winter clothes  but as I have the social live of panda & work from home I wont be needing that many. It would however, be very useful if I could get back into my jeans otherwise I will be rather chilly. I also feel the need for more cardigans & long sleeve tops but with a budget of £ 15 this will require some very careful consideration & many trips to charity shops to suss out the cheapest .

Still havent been near my bike :o but have been doing daily yoga so fully expecting to wake up one morning looking lithe & toned :rotfl:

Just so you know what I'm trying to achieve, I measured myself this morning & need to lose 3 inches off bust, waist & hips (each, not total) & 4 off my thighs

    I've been very naughty lol!

Went on a little shopping spree yesterday.. I REALLY wanted/needed some new clothes - yes I spent too much but I've wanted them all for ages..

Long checked shirt/dress thing - £13 (this is great - can wear it with tights, leggings or jeans and I love it)
New long black cardigan - £16 (wanted a new one for AGES)
New jeans - £10 (needed new ones)

So that's £39 off my total... meaning so far I've spent £83...

I also need to buy a dress for a party soon and a costume for another party.. oh dear...

  • £1 to take off my total - bought a lovely balloon sleeve print top and a long sleeve cotton tunic top, both miss selfridge, from a car boot sale for £1 yesterday. My boyfriend immediately said the tunic was very slimming when I tried it on, so may have to live in it for the foreseeable (as weight seems to be going in the wrong direction!).
