  • Thanks mum2one, I think it was a very good buy - I have worn the balloon sleeve top twice already, once for work with some city shorts, and today with jeans. Noticed it didn't have any buttons, so bought three from john lewis for 75p and sewed them on, they are so cute they match the flower pattern! Made me think it would be worth changing the buttons on my tops more often - if anyone has done this with success let me know your tips!

Fedupandskint and Lula-Hula - glad to hear the challenge will be coming back next year and not be including accessories:T! I walk on the outside of my feet, so can easily go through about 6-8 pairs of normal shoes a year:eek:! For winter tend to spend about £80 on a pair of boots in the sale, and have them reheeled regularly until they fall apart.

Anyway, £1 more to declare, on a cos blue silk and cotton mix crew neck short sleeve navy jumper from a charity shop I've not been to before. Perfect for autumn, I hope, although the weather is all over the place at the minute! The shop was mad, the changing room was a cupboard they locked you in and you had to knock to get let out. They didn't hear me the first time! They also kept giving me things to take with me, like a wonderwoman address book and some fish shaped fairy lights:rotfl:!

Did my maths yesterday and realised I am bang on target so far :A- I would like a lovely vintage frock for my upcoming 30th though, so budget beware:D!

yay, Happy New Clothes :jUrg123 & museumworker

As to new buttons; brilliant idea, I've done this myself to revamp an item that I;m bored with, another good way to revitalise stuff is to dye them, dylon washing machine dyes are about £5.50, I recently dyed a throw for my sofa when I redecorated & it looks great :).

 to naughty puppy Mum2one, you need to have a word with him about your challenge ;)

Off to update totals again :D
  • Lula you do so deserve a new top for trying out a new job. It all about confidence, know you look good and are good and others will accept that without question. As I posted I went to an image day consultation and it is always about projecting the image you want to be. They suggest always polished nails (unless you are working with food) always make up (but subtle) wear a watch, and a bracelet on the other hand, earings, something around the neck either a scarf or necklace, clean hair and clothes and SMILE. Good luck.

Saturday 19th weighed in and had stayed the same so finally plucked up courage and went back to weight watchers (3rd time after hitting goal weight twice). Ist weigh in tonight.

Still no clothes bought since 1st August but I would really like to get an anarak type Jacket. I am going to Sophia in Bulgaria in 4 weeks and want something warm, with a hood and possibly waterproof for sight seeing has anyone seen anything?

    Hi Miss-spent,

thanks for the image tips :A I have everything apart from a watch as I have never worn one. I just dont like them & after being told once that 'time' was a Bourgeois concept, I've determined not be a slave to time. Dont get me wrong, I'm very punctual, I just use my phone as a time piece :D.

I havent lost any weight either  . Must try harder ...

I will be back on Jan 1st too, this thread had really made me think about clothes spending:D. I don't mind if shoes or bags are included, as long as it is renamed the £1000 crazy clothes challenge:D

I'm going to have to start saving if I have to spend £1000 on clothes in 2100 ;)
Well, it would be rude not to join in :o

I went & had a look at the Per Una sale today on the way to the food Hall, but could not bring myself to pay £17 for a blouse, even if it did start out at £29 & even though it was very, very nice.
    DH said 'Buy it'
'No', I replied 'I'll only have to iron it'
There was absolutely no need for him to pass out with shock :o

now funilly enough I love watches and have several to match different outfits but I refuse to use an alarm clock. If a machine needs to wake me up then obviously my body has not had sufficient sleep, which is just plain wrong! Trouble is it makes for some very panic stricken mornings and I am quite often late!

Lost 1Lb this week which is still good for 1lb a week til christmas. That 4lb in 4 weeks lost so far. I would like more but....

Been so busy at work not even thought of clothes.

I agree that per una is lovely, but expensive
