Sorry Lula-Hula,
I think I've scared everybody off with too much information.
In my defence I was only 7 years old at the time, and I think I'd seen Miss World on the telly.
And I've never done it again since.:o

coats dont count?! ah, well then my total should go up again! £18.60 of mine was a coat, around the snowy time too!
I love the new rules.............!:money:0 -
I've noticed several swap websites that don't really work well, however, recently a magazine hosted a swap event which went really well!
I was wondering, due to the number of women who buy things that remain unused or nearly new before we get bored of them, why not just swap them between us? I own several pairs of new Nine West shoes I've been trying to flog on eBay with no luck (there's no way I'm accepting a £5 bid on my £60 shoes!). I would love to swap them for new or nearly new shoes (or other items of clothing for that matter) of MY size!
Anyone heard of any swapping events taking place in London soon or should we start our own in our own towns/cities? If so, How!?0 -

Hi Lula-Hula,
Thankfully my Dad didn't take a photo :rotfl: , the image is imprinted in my mind's eye though so it's just a well otherwise I'm sure there would be plenty of people walking around a Yorkshire village scarred for life :rotfl: .
Hope everything is good with you today.;)

Even as I type I'm not sure I want to do this!
But you are right - I have a full wardrobe full of perfectly good clothes that I want to slim in to. I have to start to get rid of some of these if I want to make space for BF to move in.
£100 for the year it is then. I'm off to update my spreadsheet.

I spent £20 on some trousers so down to £80. I'm glad you reminded us of the rules - I was going to have to add £12 for swimwear for my recent holiday.

Spent £3 on a black linen skirt in Debenhams (it started life at £18 but had been reduced about 4 times!)
This challenge has saved me from buying soooo many mismatched garmentsas well as saving me money.
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Hi, i'm not committing to the challenge but taking it one day at a time.
As I posted before, I sort out my clothes on to hangers for each forthcoming week. This thread has bucked me up and I have started putting together new combinations.
At th end of March I am going for 'Colour Analysis' to map out which colour combinations will suit me best.
Well done all0 -

Ooooh :j to colour analysis - be prepared to be surprised, I had mine done a few years ago & was told I should wear really bright colours like scarlet & grinny smiley green. Always hated scarlet but bought a jacket to wear to court when accompanying a friend who was trying to get a divorce after being abandoned by her OH ... it worked, think the legal types were completely dazzled  .
Must go update allowances now, been meaning to do that since yesterday0
