My Norton runs out in 2 days and tbh since I have had that I have absolutely no bother and I am scared not to renew BUT no bleeding money. If I hadn't bought my lunches for the last 2 weeks I'd have had the money :p Hope everyone is well x

Hi MIT - I've been reading your diary for ages now :hello: - am more of a lurker apart from Payment a day thread, and sealed tin challenge, but just thought I'd tell you that my Norton ran out just before xmas and pc world were doing 2009 for £24 but if you ordered it on line to pick up instore it was only £20 - plus if you use a cashback site that's a bit more off - don't know if they're still doing it tho fingers crossed for you they are HTH
    Debt @ LBM - £25,722 Debt now - £11,811 DFD - April 2012
    Payment a day challenge - 8/8/08 - £8669.73:jISA - £127.07
    Sealed Pot Challenge #283 £489.50 for 2009//£353 for 2010
Stopped smoking 1/11/2010 - money saved so far:£515:D
  • Thanks for the advice guys. I just renewed my subscription because I need cover for 3 pc's and that was cheapest I could find tbh.
We have all been ill. Had to get my brother to help my poor wee mum last night as Ihad 2 sick kids and felt decidedly dodgy myself. He had to get the doctor into her as she was so weak. Apparently it is a virus calledthe norvo (sp) virus that we are all getting and it is sweeping Europe. Lucky us  . DS is fine today, mum is fine today, I feel a bit better and DD is still in bed so that is as yet unknown. Thank god lol as my house is decidedly niffy .
That makes about £500 I have put on my card this month  . £360 will be paid immediately from my friends for their tickets but still leaves £140 for me to find. Need to pay it when bill comes in though as the rates on this card are just silly ones and I refuse to pay the interest. I have a few things ending on e-bay today and then if they go for a few pounds then I have loads to list so might be busy the next day or 2 doing that.
Need to go to supermarket today but am going to d a listand menu plan nd see if I can cut down a good bit this week as I have MOT during the week and I am always terrified when car goes in for that.

Made mince last night in the slow cooker so will make shepherds pie for tea. Hopefully everyone will be ready for eating by then. if not I'll freeze it. ( look at me being all money saving)

Ok am off to the post office to send a couple of books off that I sold on Amazon. I'll be back later x

  • well what a couple of cr*ppy days I have had. We have all hadthe Noro virus and been really ill. I ate for the first time since dinner Friday about an hour ago. Still feeling yuk. This is a horrible virus. DS had it frist. my mum was next. Then me and DD. My bother and niece now have it too. Nightmare:eek: .

Today when I got around to checking my bank account my maintenance is down by £40 per week. I texted ex asking him if there was a problem and he said no that CSA would be in touch!!! No problem  I'm glad he thinks so cos I definately think it isa problem. I had a bit of slack with money for the first timein years and yet again because of him it has been removed. I hate him. If he would just be a man and talk to me about it but I always find out by checking my account. CSA should be quicker off the mark as well. I am so close to crying and saying s*d it. I am trying so hard to keep us on an even keel and he seems intent on putting us in the poor house. I just dont understand. Anyway rant over. If I felt well enough I'd get sloshed but knw I'd be sick x

  • Well it gets worse. Ex has gone self eployed and has defaulteon his maintenance payments. I cant do a thing aout it either as CSA are pretty much useless( their admission) when it comes to self employed cases. Appaerntly has been in new job since January. Has he told his kids?>? Has he h*ll. He really makes me sick. He sees th maintenance as money for me and not them. His case will be re assessed in April when he has 3 months accounts so no doubt I will be down to minimum payment of £5 per week then. He will lie through his teeth to make sure he doesn't have to pay for them.

I just dont understand. He still wants to see them. he doesn't want me to tell them anything sohe can always be the good guy. Well this time I have turnedand hve told them the lot. My DD is furious but DS is annoyed but still thinks he is a hero. Poor soul as he will find out in the end. Need to do my sums tonihgt and see if my life is actually possible and if not then .... hmm dunno. Plan B ??? :rotfl:. I'm so confused just now and need to rant and rave just to get my mind clear on what the hell I'm going to do next.
    All ideas welcome lol

  • Hi MIT, long time lurker on your thread....
   at your ex - could you just kill them!?!
Don't really have any practical advice, other than checking you get all the benefits you're entitled to - will you be able to claim any more now that you aren't getting maintenance?
Its such a shame for the children because they will eventually figure out whats going on! ((hugs)) to you all

  • Hi guys. Thanks for the thoughts. I was describing in detail earlier to my friend on the phone what I wanted to do to him lol. I think she considered sectioning me :rotfl: . Got it all off my chest to various friends tonight and feel better for it. Have sworn like a trooper. Ate loads of chocolate ( cos I wont be able to afford to buy any more  ) and generally been a bit of an eejit but hey ho I feel cleansed. No doubt they will all be worried sick about me and I will have to convince them tomorrow that I really am ok :o .

I just get peed off that he appears to be getting off scot free. The bad person in me can only hope he fails in his business and I can then sneer in his face the way he does in mine. But I don't want my kids to have to worry about him. Still haven't had the courage to look at my accounts but will do it soon as I really need to know where i stand financially. Might do a new SOA and see if anyone can see any gaping holes. I am pretty savvy with the benefits situation so no more money from that direction unfortunately. One of my friends said to me tonight that I am like her and will just have to work hard to get what I nee as nowt comes easily to me. She is right so I better just knuckle down and get on with it. If it means my debt takes longer to pay off then c'est la vie.
Need to get to bed so that I can start tomorrow as I am sure it will be better xx

  • hi there. Feeling a bit better today but have just redone my snowball with no extra payments and wont be free from my credit card debt until 2015  . That makes me feel sick as my son will be 18 by then and Dd will be 21  . Really scary stuff. Maybe things will change. I will just do my best just now and see how it goes. Accounts add up but money will be really tight. Will struggle for birthdays, repairs etc but will worry re them when I have to. I cant even save a wee cushion of money as there is so little available. Never mind it could be much worse than it is. At least my job is nice and secure ( at the mo).
Went to ASDA last night and spent > £30. Thiw will do me for about a week and I am really going to try and make it last as long as possible so I get through this month with not using card again.
Was away on a training course today and hopefully have some good old hints on how to complete my forms for promotion. Was really good and nice to get away from the office for a change.
Was teaching DS how to bake a cake. Looks good but jeezo he is one messy boy. Has taken me about 30 mins to clear up his mess and westill need to ice it  . Hope everyone is well xx
