hi . Found out that the extra money in my account was just the child benefit getting paid early. Might have guessed lol. No way would he voluntarily put the money back up.. Was shattered last night after first day back at work. You'd think we had been closed for a fortnight rather than a day and where do the public get ff speaking to people the way they do. My staff got dogs abuse all day yesterday. Very stressful. I have to call all these nasty gits back as well as I am the manager lol does my head in. I am ultra nice though as I have 20 years experience and have heard it all before so not much riles me. Some of my team are young though or sensitive whereas I have the skin of a rhino:rotfl:.
Spent £2 on a baked potato today. Shouldn't have bothered as it was minging. No other spends so am quite pleased. I don't actually spend much money as I hardly ever have cash in my purse and I try really hard to shop at the weekend only. I bought 2 rolls of brown paper at the weekend in ASDA for my e-bay parcels and it has disappeared. Got some Christmas paper cheap so will use that to post my parcels instead. Going to get the few pounds out of paypal that I have in there and pay it off my card. Hope everyone is well xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

hi. I actually wrote a big reply yesterday but appears to have been lost.Oh well. Bought 2 jackets off of e-bay yesterday.Used money I had in paypal so only actually cost me £6.20 for 2 brand new jackets. Need to look smart for meetings etc in work so they are essential. You can shove a t-shirt or even a vest under a jacket and still look smart.Spent nothing today so :j. DD's birthday tomorrow. She's 15 . It feels like only yesterday since she was born and she is turning into quite the young lady.
I haven't done much this month unfortunately as far as money saving has gone other than make sure I dont overspend BUT I have managed to save half of my ferry money for the summer. Going to try really hard and keep the rest of it this week which means come payday I can start on the spending money and maybe make a couple of overpayments. Not going to stress too much about it though. DD, DS and my ex are not getting on at the mo. He told them it was none of their business where he was working . I am stunned that he said that to them. So DD told him itwas none of his business why she couldnt see him today and he freaked. Big macho talk of 'how dare you speak to me lik that. I am your Father' He just doesn't get it. Lol. I have warned him for years that they will walk away from him but he is so arrogant he thinks he has a right to their love and he is so so wrong. Any way enoug about him cos I could go on all night about his failings and really he doesn't deserve the time or effort of typing it out .
Tidied up a bit in the garden today but will need to get a fair bit of work done on it in the next week or so or it will be wild befroe I know it.
Hope you are all ok xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Hi folks. No doubt you will have thought I was dead or something but :j I'm not lol. I have been mega busy with work, life etc but because I have not been on here things have slipped somewhat. I have got into bad shopping habits again and my weekly shop is rarely under £90 . I have been spending on my card . Just basically doing everything I shouldn't do tbh. There are various reasons for this though. My ex has been reducing the amount he pays for maintenance and it has gone down from £65 per week to £0. CSA are now considering sending the bailiffs in as he owes me so much in arrears as well as his weeky payments. TBH I don't want this to happen but he has got to see that he has a legal, if not a moral, requirement to pay. I know he has money as he spends on other things. He recently bought a sphinx cat which costs few hundred pounds.
So here I am. Ready to rock and roll again. Just back from a wee break in Islay, which was fabulous and raring to go. I am starting my diet again today as well as I have a really sore back and despite physio I am still in a lot of pain. The fact that I am carrying the weight of a small person in addition to my own is definately not helping.
Did my snowball today and am horrified at how little actually comes off each month as the majority of the payment ends up interest payments. Dunno why I am horrified mind you as I know all this, I have been here before.
So what is my plan?
Transfer Sony card to Barclaycard as they are offering me 0% until December so that will save me about £100 in interest. Also SONY charge 29.5% interest and Barclaycard only 12.9%. I have asked for an increase in my balance as I could then transfer some of Virgin as well. I have redone my snowball and I have set it at minimum monthly payments . I will be clear in Jan 2022. I am not going to set myself any crazy targets as I have done this in the past and failed miserably. I will continue to shuffle when I can to lower or 0% interest deals. I will pay extra when and if I can to try and get my clearance date forward a bit and I have set myself a grocery budget of £350 per month.
Going to be hard paying any extra duringthe school holidays as my mum has booked us another wee break in St Anne's in August, so I will have to save some money for that. I also have to start thinking about school uniforms too. So my budget will be tight, tight, tight but hey bring it on.
Hope you are all fine and dandy xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

It was for the house, they made us pay a 25% deposit to get a mortgage. I dont dare think about how many extra hours OH has worked to pay for it all even with all this debt left over. There are pics of the house on page one or two of my diary if you want a peek.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0

Will do Lunar. Hi Hypno. So glad I am back. Feeling more in control already xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Just checked my bank account and have managed to pay one of my credit cards twice in error . It's only £25 but things so tight at the minute that this makes big difference. Never mind at least the debt is going down a bit more.
I also remembered that I owe my friend money for bracelets I bought for DD and myself. Just what I needed .........NOT!! Lol/ What an eejit. Will call her and see just how much I owe and get it paid off.
DD has a wee job working with my friend and has said she will buy her jogging trousers and her trainers for school. This is fab asthat will save me a good bit of cash. DS will be happy with uniform from ASDA. He starts the high school in August which in itself will save me loads of money. His uniform used to be brown with cream shirts and cost a fortune so to be able to buy from ASDA will make a huge difference to me. My mum has said she will buy his jacket. He wants a superdry one so it will last him all winter hopefully. DD already has one ofthose so she will be okay too. She bought it for herself with her birthday money.
I am going to try and buy something each week whilst shopping so that the cost will be spread over the next 6weeks.
I have 2 invites to go out tonight. Have turned one down flat as it will be very expensive. My mum said she would give me the money but I said no. My friend also offeed me money but that would be a loan and there's no point in that. The other one is with my work. I could go to that and take the car but I really can't be bothered tbh. I am just not in the mood. I would rather stay home and sort the house/ garden out.
I have put a wanted ad on freecycle for a bike carrier and am going to try and get out and about with the kids for some fresh air and exercise. I haven't been on a bike for years so am a bit anxious about it lol. Been reading a few diaries and feel bad for some people. At least my job is very safe at the minute so my wage will be there for me. I can manage , albeit struggling, without the maintenance so that puts me in a much better position than some. I need to cheer up lol and get my act together. xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

I know what you mean about reading other diaries, its so scary what is happening right now. We even worry for our jobs, they should be secure as we are both working for the NHS but you just never know. that is why OH is working so many hours he wants to try get us financially secure as soon as possible.
Hopefuly you will get the maintenance payments sorted out soon to give you some breathing space.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0
