Evening all. Back to work and totay shattered. Only took about 2 hours to undo the good that my holiday had done. Have spent too much yesterday and today so I will have to get back to not spending again tomorrow.
Bought my lunch in work yesterday . It wasn't even that nice. Was going out straight from work though so felt I needed a decent meal inside of me to last through the evening. Gave my friend's daughter £10 for her holidays as she had given that to my kids so felt obliged. Went to Bruce Springsteen last night in Hampden and spent a bleeding fortune. Not even going to add it up as it was way too bad. In saying that OMG Bruce was a legend. Best concert I have ever been to. 3 solid hours of Bruce Springsteen :j:j:j I was in heaven.
Been knackered today and have spent loads of money yet again that I dont have. Even put costs on my card. Went to pics to see Harry Potter film. Kids paid theirs but I put it on card and didnt pay it back. Used my card for MacD's and sweets as well. Worked out about £35 for a night at the flicks. Was good though. Need to get back to being good though.
Got a cheque for £50 in from surveys. Has taken me 18 onths to collect it mind you. Got £10 into myaccount from the lottery. I'll get DD to put it into my account tomorrow and use it to pay for 6 months car tax. I just can't afford a year at the minute. Hope youare all doing ok. xx5 Year plan. WHY? WHY? WHY? is it that when you start spending it just keeps going on and on. Forgot I was going out for lunch today so that was a tenner. My old team are moving to another office so felt obliged to go out with them. A guy and girl I have worked really closely with for years are getting married. I can't go to the wedding as I wll be on holiday but I am reallyfriendly with them both so will need to get them a pressie. Might just get a bottle of champers. Neighbour's birthday and going to his party . Will need to get him a wee bottle. I confess to using the credit card today for petrol as I am just chasingmy tail trying to manag everything. TBH I can't wait until the hols etc are over and I can really start working on getting my figures down. Then it'll be Christmas lol.I have £54.50 to get me all of the above and also the shopping I need this week.. Will be tough. I have a tenner off voucher for ASDA as well if I spend £50 online and I also have free delivery :mad:just no money to use it. Cupboards are starting to get bare. I want to have a tantrum. Then I remember that some poor sod was killed on the road to my work this morning and all this pales into insignificance in the grand scheme of things.
I hope everyone is good x5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

hi folks. Been a busy couple of days. Went out straiht from work last night with my staff. Justwaited an hour and then came home and got ready for my neighbour's party. Got him a book about the ghostly goings on in Glasgow lol.If he doesn't want to read i then I wll.
Got a rude awakening this morning with my hanster gnawing underneath my bed. The wee b*gger had escaped, climbed up all the stairs and was in my bedroom exploring. We have blocked up the escape route but she is going nuts trying to get back out :rotfl:.
Still struggling to rein in the spending. Put cheque for £50 in the bank today so I should have enough to pay my 6 month car tax this week :j. Am desperately trying not to have anything to pay off of my wages at the end of the month other than the normal stuff so that I have some spending money for Blackpool in August. Hard going though. Was only £52 in Morrison's today so that was pretty good. Even managed to get a couple of treats for the kids. had gone out with 2 friends for lunch as one of them is having a very tough time just now. We all went to Morrison's but I was the only one with a list. When I left they were only in the third aisle lol and I bet their shopping was three times as much as mine. Anyways am not staying on long tonight but will catch up tomorrow or Monday as I have a nice long weekend.

Hi MIT, you are doing really well. I know what you mean about the spending, I feel like I havent stopped this week with the kids growing out of everything at the same time.
What did you think of Harry Potter, I really want to go and see it but I am still recovering at the shock of the prices from the last time I went! x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Thanks for the encouraging words P. I think my big problem this month is the factthat my tax credits have been reviewed and gone down £27 per week and also lost £65 per week from maintenance. On paper I should be able to cope but in reality I am struggling big time. I am really going to have to leave my CC at home as I have put about £100 + on it this month and that was how I got in this mess in the first place. Not wanting to make it even worse than it is.
Got DS a school bag yesterrday from the sports shop. It was reduced from £20 to £7.50 :j. Well chuffed. It's an adidas as well so he is happy.
I had a quick look at my funds for next month and if I am very careful then hopefully I should manage to pay everything and buy the uniforms too. I'll try my best anyway. Maybe by some miracle my ex will pay some maintenance :rotfl::rotfl:.

NSD :j. First one in ages. Been at my mums today and she got a laptop. She's 65 !!!!!!. She was all chuffed cos she had to show me something on scrabble lol. My brother and I play it with her and she knew something about it that I didn't . She kept going on and on to the kids about how clever she was. My DD ( the teenager) was almost spurting her dinner over the place trying to stop laughing. Bless she is doing great for her age. DS went to his dads . He spent all afternoon on the computer and then woke his dad to take him home. Hmm great quality time spent there:rolleyes:. Going to catch up on a few diaries x5 Year plan. Well done on your NSD MIT. Sorry to hear about your drop in income - are your tax credits right?
If you are struggling try going back to basics for a bit, post a new SOA if you feel up to it or start a spending diary again - all the things you did in the first few months, just to get the focus back and double check that your figures add up.
Parents and laptops are not good, my dad keeps phoning me to ask me where a certain letter is on his keyboard and insisting that his hasnt got one when I tell him where it is - and he is only 50! x xxPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

pmsl @ your dad penguin. My mum is the same. Driving us all crazy bless her. Kids just find it all hilarious. I have cut right down on spends tbh and have looked at everything else. Problem this month was that we had a short break and it was expensive as it was on an island and also my mum has booked us another break. ALthough she has paid for it I need to find some spending money. DS is going to a different school as well so it means a whole new uniform. SHould hopefully ease off a bit late August. My tax credits are correct. I am due a wage rise this month so hopefully it will help a bit too. Ex OH will need to start paying soon or bailiffs will definitely be going in. DS asked him today why he had stopped paying me money and he was told it was none of his concern. It was between him, me and the CSA. What a prat .
I have done 2 dooyoo reviews tonight. I put lots of effort into them so hopefully they will pass this time and that will open up an earning opportunity for me.5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Bank holiday here today so an extra wee day off
. Done all the housework down stairs. Have Bruce Springsteen blaring singing outlaw pete .
Thought I was going to manage an nsd today but DS has just asked for sweets so will give him £1.Small price to pay for peace and quiet for half an hour whilst he goes to the shops.
Cheap dinner tonight of fish fingers, home made chips and beans. Delish. I love a dinner like that an odd time. No feedback from dooyoo yet so no news is good news and hopefully I can start doing those regularly. The £50 from your view is in bank and will clear during the week so I can get car tax.5 Year plan. hi folks . Just got back from Blackpool yesterday. That was a nice cheap holiday NOT !!:o. That's all the big spends finished for now though. Thank god. Just a couple of things to get for DD for school and that will be me all done. Have had to use the credit card a few times unfortunately as just didnt have enough money to pay for verything. Joking aside re Blackpool . I really didnt spend very much. My mum had paid all the costs including the petrol. Kids had their own money so they paid for their own things. I bought some of DD's school uniform whilst I was there. Kids in Scotland go back to school next week :j:j:j:j.
I am scared to look at my expenses to be honest. I know I have enough in my account to cover the bills but not sure how I am going to get though until the end of the month other than that. Will manage no doubt same as I always do. I am on a mission now to get rid of some of this debt. I keep saying this and then failing but one of these ties I WILL do it. Hopefully this will be the one time. Hope everyon is well I will be back later xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
