Evening all. Some slight good news this week. My ex has apparently paid £20 maintenance to CSA. big deal tbh as it is meant to be £60 plus arrears. Haven't had a penny since JUne though so at least £20 is better than nothing. He only paid it because he has been threatened with bailiffs though. Never mind it will pay for the trip to Stirling Castle that DS and I are going on tomorrow.
I'll get up tomorrow and go and get some French bread for ds and I for a packed lunch tomorrow rather than buy lunch so should hopefully only pay £9 for my entry fee plus petrol. I only have a couple of days holidays left though so I really want to do something with the kids before they go back to school next week. I have dd and I booked in for haircuts on Saturday and ds will get one too. I have about £90 for the next week but have about £45 to pay for haircuts, £20 for petrol and shopping to get . WIll be a struggle. I have £20 in change so will take that to ASDA and use that for some food. I will do a list and stick to that.
My weekly income , which is what I live on, will be £100 and pennies. From this I need to do everything other than pay the bills. That includes weekly shop, petrol and school dinners. It would also include any extras as I am hoping to use any extra cash I have from my wages to help pay the debts. Hopefully CSA will get some cash sorted out for me from ex as that would really help me out.
I am feeling really down at the moment which is unlike me but I am tired of doing this. I don't have a big grand lifestyle and I can't even afford that . I wish my ex would get his act together and do what he should do
and support his kids. right enough moaning. He won't do it so I just need to be more organised. Am away to do my sums and see how they look. x5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Well I have at last had the courage to add up my totals. I have added over £400 to my debt because of 2 holidays and school uniforms. Am not going to beat myself up about it though as the spends were the minimum I could manage and it's too late now to do anything about it, the damage is done.
I had £4 in my account today so have paid that off of my SONY card. I have shifted money about so I have £10 I can lift tomorrow from bank. DS has his check up after his most recent ear operation and we always stop at a snack van on the way home for a roll and sausage. It is like a wee tradition for him so hopefully this will be the last time and I know he will be looking forward to this wee treat.
We were at an engagement party last night and someone stole my DD's phone. It is a really expensive one that her dad had gotten her last Christmas. I am so furious. Everyone at the party were either family or friends of my cousin and I am disgusted that anyone could steal off of a young lass. She now has a wee phone her brother gave her and she is devastated as there is no prospect of her getting another cool phone in any near future. I just don't understand how anyone can steal something. Is it too much to ask that they might actually go out and work for it
I am going to check paypal and see if I have any money in it and get it sent over to my bank. I am just going to really knuckle down now and try and get this debt reduced. I am going to concentrate on the SONY card as it is 29%. I want to bring my debt free date back to AUG 2013 as that will be when DD leaves high school to go to UNI and I NEED to be free from this by then or I won't be able to help her at all. Say hi to me from time to time and keep me motivated.xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Hi MIT, sounds like you've had a tough time lately but hopefully things might turn around soon. I know you've probably been now but saw the bit about Stirling Castle and just wanted to say I joined Historic Scotland this summer and they charge less than £4 a month and for this I can take up to five or six kids with me (perish the thought), you can use them for Edinburgh castle and loads of other places so might be worth a look if you plan on going anywhere else? mind you school hols are over now so maybe that will save you a bit...
Just keep going...just keep going... dull but true! you will get there. xMortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Hi SS. Actually ended up at LInlithgow Palace and had a great day. It was half price so only cost £2.60. THere were acts on from the tattoo and we had a guided tour. THe sun was splitting the skies as well. THe friend I was with had her national trust card so she got all the kids in free. I love going to this type of place and luckily so does DS. ( DD is a horrible teenager lol and everything is sooo boooooooring) Will maybe hjoin next year if he is still interested.
I had £6 in paypal so it is on its way to my account and I will pay it off of SONY when it gets there. Every little bit helps lol. Am on dooyoo just now. It overwhelms me a bit to be honest as there is just so much on it and I cant decide where to start. I will get at least one under my belt tonight though. THat is my vow to myself.:p5 Year plan. SS I thought the palace was fab too. I loved the wee girls who took us round. THey were excellent. My friend hates heights and we all went up the top to the Queens room ( oxygen was required by me at the top lol). My friend hates heights and was hanging onto the walls with her back to them up the top. THis just turned me into naughty friend and I was hanging over the edge shouting 'look no hands, no hands' lol. SHe was a nice shade of green by then.5 Year plan. Justbeen on my snowball playing about with the figures. To achieve my goal of being debt free by August 2012 I need to pay £190 over and above my minimum payments each month . I think I will be veryskinny soon LOL. So from September I need to start pulling in loads of extra cash. Not going to rely on ex for anything so if he pays then I will not even spend it and will use it towards thedebts. This means than when he stops paying ( cos he will stop at some point) I won't be relying on it to live on.
I have £100 per week coming into the house and should have approx £90 left from my wages after paying everything includig school lunches. My beltwill be tight but I will manage. That will need to buy food, toiletries, presents, socialising and petrol. Will be a laugh trying to find £190 from that but I'll have a go.
Didn't make a very good start toda mind you as I put £23.93 onto my card for petrol. I had nothing in the car, beeper had gone and I had to take DS to the hospital. He was gettinghis check up on his ears and good news is that they are both great. He is hearing more or less equally well out of both ears. e got the all clear to go swimming so guess where I was this afternoon lol. The allow the kids free swimming in the daytime during the school hols here though so it only cost me 70p for a drink. Had to pay £2 for ear putty though as he is to be careful of getting too much water in them. It will do a good few times thouh as you only need a wee bit each time.
Fish fingers and chips tonight for dinner. Yum yum .NOT :rotfl:. Will be back later in between dooyoo reviews.5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
