  • I forgot to mention that I had opted out from the 2 credit cards that wanted me to pay silly % if I wanted to keep using their cards. Both cards were destroyed ages ago anyway so no hardship to me saying I wouldn't use them again. THe shock I got was when I called the Halifax I asked the guy on the phone if the payments would change. He said no no they will stay the same. £5 minimum payment plus the interest. THat is how we work out the payment each month. I pay nearly £70 !!!!!!. I can't believe that I am paying almost £65 in interest and that is only on 1 card, I have 5 . Never again. I am so on a mission now.

  • That's not the one I'm overpaying though :rotfl:. It's only at 7% and MBNA gits are at 29.5% so that is my one for overpaying just now. Am doing the 100 day challenge and hope to clear that one during that.

Day 1 of my no money spent in canteen. Took my sandwiches with me and they were delicious. Spent nothing at all today :j.

My ex's mum is having a retirement do on Saturday and apparently the kids are invited. I say apparently as no-one has bothered to call me and tell me anything about it. Now bear in mind that my ex has not spoken to my DD since March as she was cheeky to him  and they only see their grandparents at birthdays and Christmas ( they live 3 miles away). I chinned ex about not speaking to DD and was told 'she started it' Mature he is not :rotfl:. Suddenly tonight he is missing her lots, even though she has only had 1 text in 4 months lol. More like he knows that neither of them want to go to the party and he will look like a fool. They like to wheel my kids out for these occasions. I have had absolutely no input into their decision but must admit that I am laughing silently because I warned the whole lot of them that this type of thing would happen. You can't just expect unconditional love from kids when you don't put in an effort. With teenagers even if you do put in the effort you don't get it :rotfl::rotfl:. So I am just waiting on the calls starting to come through me and I will tell the whole lot of them to b*gger off and will do it with a big grin on my face. They have hurt my kids and me so much over the years that I hate to admit I will take great pleasure in it. :p. Wicked ? Oh yeah !

He has told her that he is going to start paying maintenance again soon so fingers crossed. Hope you are all well xx

  • Good evening. Managed to get a computer a bit earlier tonight for a change .
No spend again today :D. Took sandwiches with me again and yet again were delicious. My new boss is putting me in his job whilst he is off on hols for a week so I am delighted at last to get the chance to show what I can do. My colleagues said today that they will work with me to ensure that the section runs ultra smoothly whilst I am on the job. Apparently the consensus amongst my peers is that when he is off on leave etc they want me in his place, so that's nice :D. An old colleague from another office had got in touch with me today as well and was saying that she wished I was the communications officer still as when it was me at least things got done. Isn't it funny how when you are at your lowest all these lovely things happen:D. WHen doing the job I will be in charge of approximately 60 staff and 7 of them will be managers . I'll be sh*tting myself. Well we get what we wish for lol.

I had macaroni cheese for dinner which I had frozen last week. Ended up a bit like pasta mush lol. Tasted good but looked like puke. Kids were not impressed. Had to do my mum's shopping as she is ill at the mo. I can't believe I went to Morrison's and spent zero for my house :j. LIfted loads of things, a couple even went into my trolley but they got put back on the shelf as I an most definately on a mission as I have said before. It had better last this time. 114 days until Christmas .

  • Oh I will try KP. Being all positive today :rotfl:. No spend again today. 35p from scratches. Withdrew the tenner I had put into one of them so that will be winging its way back to me. Am going to do my surveys and then crash as I am knackered tonight. Was really busy in my work today as I was holding down 2 teams as my colleague was away on a course. He is back tomorrow thank god. Made baked potatoes for dinner so that was quite nice. Still hungry though.
DD has just texted me from work to tell me she has broken up with her bf so no doubt there will be tears and snotters tonight when she gets home. oh the joys.
DS had been saving for a star trek outfit and it came today. Isn't it lovely when they get so excited about something and the fact that he paid for it himself makes it all the more special.
Am away to trot around a few diaries and then do surveys etc. Hope you are all well xx
