  • Meeting with boss was canceled today . He got called away but will see me tomorrow. All the pointers re this guy are looking good though. He seems to be able to smell ' sh*te ' lol which is in abundance in my office just now. I have thrown the dummy out the pram a bit the last week or so but only because the decisions being made are so shockingly bad that I am furious and have demanded action be taken. It's worked though as at last things are happening. One of my staff was in tears today as she was told she was moving off of my section and she is gutted. SAid to me I am the best manager she has ever had :o. COmments like that make the hassle worthwhile.

Spending wise I have only spent £3.35 today. This was for my lunch. Should have taken lunch with me as what I bought in the canteen was disgusting. Will take sarnies tomorrow. I also paid DD's dancing which was £16. No other big spends due until payday so that's okay. Hope everyone is well xx

  • What a day!! I am exhausted. Had a meeting with my old boss and came out of it feeling really bad. SHe is very young and spoke to me as if I was about 7 yr old. I ended up arguing with her because I hate people talking down to me and being condescending. My head was right down and I was well upset. I was just going to cancel my meeting with new boss but my 2 lovely workmates built me up again. I'm really glad I spent some time with him. Some of the concerns that I have he totally agreed with me. He told me he couldn't change what had happened in the past but would make sure I was treated well in the future. I told him about the fact that I was being offered supposed development opportunities and it was things that I could do with my eyes closed and he actually listened to me. He now wants me offline to do a project for him. I reckon he is testing me so I will just have to make damned sure that I shine shine shine. Gulp !! :rotfl:
Anyway onto money saving. I get paid at the weekend and when I worked out my budget I have £506.39 to do me all month:eek:. This is for food, petrol and basically everything other than the bills. I then noticed that I had put down £125 for school lunches so not quite as bad as I originally thought. I have no birthdays in September either so no big expenses hopefully. I have joined the 100 days challenge which starts next week on the 1st. I have a few pounds extra that I can pay off my SONY card so will start working on it. Looking forward to the challenge tbh. I hope you are all well. Send me some positive vibes please as I need them just now  xx

Evening folks. I had £16 left in my account before payday so have paid it to SONY. THat will start off my 100 day challenge to get rid of SONY altogether. Both my Halifax and Virgin cards have written to me this week putting my interest rates up to silly %. Both have given me the option of closing the accounts and staying at the % I am on which is obviously lower and paying the account off as I already was. I am wondering why they are doing this and if anyone else is getting this. I'm feeling unloved and unwanted . Will close them both as I intend doing that anyway when they are paid.Grr  just checked the letters and the virgin one should have been called by 26th September and they will now charge me higher rate as I have missed the date. Office is closed just now but I will phone in the morning and discuss this with them.

Had to buy petrol and some lunch today so spent a few pounds unfortunately
. Pay day tomorrow though :j. Dunno why I am happy as I just use it to pay bills lol. Never mind every pay day gets me closer to me debt free date. Hope you are all well xx

  • £16 left over is great MIT :j as you have such a tight budget. LOL at losing a month.
    :j
    May 2013 new beginnings:j
  • Losing a month !! Lol I know what am I like? DUH!

I got paid today so have paid my bills. Managed to pay £55 to SONY just by only paying minimum to everything else so that is good. Gets me a good start on my 100 day challenge. It's going to be tight again this month but should just be manageable. Will go to butchers and ASDA tomorrow and stock up a bit. Not going to go OTT though like I usually do at payday. Really tired tonight but had folks in and then paid the bills. Heading off to bed now. xx

  • Hmm what was that I said about not going OTT shopping today . £32.96 in butchers and £62.31 in ASDA. I also bought new shower curtains as mine are minging so I was a tenner for them. Paid my parking fine from holidays  £25.Wouldn't be so bad but I had actually bought a ticket. My 11yr old DS wanted to stick it on the window and stuck the wrong bit on so I got a ticket. I appealed it but because I couldn't produce the ticket I still had to pay. :mad:. Gits lol. I have doen my sums and am still going to be mega skint this month but hey what's bloody new :rotfl:. I will have approx £120 per week for shopping, petrol and school lunches but am going to try and not spend a single penny at work all week. Our canteen is minging and I don't know why I even think about going to it. Just laziness tbh.
I have had the worst 2 weeks ever in work. I have had my confidence crushed, people leapfrogging me to deputise for the manager, so busy we are on our knees, been spoken to by my 26 yr old manager as if I was 7 etc etc. BUT I am going to leave it all in the last 2 weeks and move on. The bad decisions being made will come to the fore eventually and then I will have the last laugh. So goodbye to bitter feelings and feeling sorry for myself and head up and move on. Oh gawd I hope I manage it lol!
Was in tears watching X-factor tonight. What a wee shame. I cry at it every week mind you so tonight was no different. Hope you are all good x

  • Good evening. Have set myself a budget of £300 this month for shopping. Down to £220.00 already . Bought 2 swiss rolls and a choc bar in Marks and Spencers today. My mum is unwell and not eating very well so I bought them to try and tempt her a bit. No worries there lol. I had made a huge stew and pastry and she ate that with mash and veg then swiss roll and custard lol. She is on steroids and obviously her appetite is kicking in. Left her 3 dishes of stew for freezing to save her cooking. She used to be a great cook but recently has been burning things quite a lot as she forgets they are on cooker . Need to keep an eye on that.

Sandwiches etc are all made up for work tomorrow as I am determined not to eat canteen cr*p any more. I end up paying out about £4 a day and it is disgusting. Everything is deep fried. The baked potatoes are all wrinkled. yuk yuk just disgusting. I bought a baked potato one day and it had a huge black bit in it. They must have noticed it when they cut it to put the filiing in it but they still sold it to me. She told me the potatoes were rubbish at the time but I was flabbergasted that she had thought it was okay to sell it to me anyway. My child benefit must be in my account early due to the bank holiday ( not one in Scotland though  ) My work was mobbed on Friday as obviously everyone thought we were closed on Monday so hopefully tomorrow will be a quieter one. Fingers crossed. My niece works with me and on Friday night her mum, her me and my DD were watching DVD's and both myself and my niece fell asleep as we had had such a hard day lol. Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday. x
