  • hi Hypno. She has had a fabuloustime. I think the nightlife was more fun than the skiing though. Thank goodness  as it would have cost me a fortune for the skiing. She is home tonihgt and Ijust can't wait to see her. I have missed her loads.

Went today and got 2 new bookcases. One for ds and one for dd. They both have books lying all over the place along with cd's and videos, dvd's games etc. So I bit the bullet and got them for them. DD really needs a desk too but she wanted a glass one and the ones in stock were too expensive so she will have to wait for that one.Was only £40 for the two of them and will make a huge difference to me for storage so well worth the spend. I need to put £72 into my bills account this month so that everything is covered so thats not too bad. I had used that account for £130 of grocery shopping so really I had enough in it but need to make up for the shopping. Will pay the £40 for the bookcases during the month too andtry and put something away for the MOT etc next month  . Juggle juggle juggle again :D .
DS got a hamster yesterday. He had saved the money for it and he is so chuffed. Hope it lasts longer than the last one :rotfl:
Ok am away for lunch then to build 2 bookcases. Catch up later maybe x

Graduate in March with Diploma in business management so am well chuffed and nowit is finished it was woh it all :rotfl: . Wasn't saying that last week when I was friing the books at the wall. Swearing my head off, shouting at thekids ec etc. No housework was done fro 2 full weeks so you can just imagine how much cleaning I have done this weekend. Took my mum out for the day today as the local farmers market was on. It was great to not worry about assignments, projects or housework and we had a nice wee wander through Jenners etc.Didn't buy anything lol just drooled. Not been concentrating on moneysaving at all so will have to make this my next project. DD has a big phone bill from Austria but I will pay that on Tuesday when I get my child benefit. I will then try and overpay some money before the end of the month. DS going in for another op on his ear at tend of month and I have promised him HALO wars if he is good. I have pre ordered it bur put it onto my cc as he wanted the special edition one and I have no cash. Need to pay dd's phone bill first as it has now been blocked  . Going to have a wee nosey around and see what has been happening. xx

Good news about finishing your course :j :T . Ive just got the results of my last course and even though I got a credit I have still vowed no more studying for a loooong while. I can sympatise with how you felt with studying, work, house and kids:eek: .

Any hospital time deserves a reward, hope the procedure goes smoothly,

  • no spend today woohoo!!
Kids not at school so no money for them and I took stuff in for lunch. DD's telephone bill will be paid tomorrow. She is just costing me a fortune just now and I am fed up dishing out the cash to be honest. I am making her work for it but jeezo.
I am tired tonight as I am now on my new job and it is going fast and furious. Between learning all the bits and pieces I don't know and having 11 staff (5 of which are trainees) it is full on. I am soooooooo loving it though. I hate quiet jobs. I love the buzz and business of a busy section. Got loads to learn but will get there and they seem to be fab wee team.
No other money saving done today but will hopefully manage some later this week.

  • Evening :D . No spend day agin yesterday but not today unfortunately. Kids are back at school so it was lunch money for them. I went to work and forgot my purse, which had my keys in so had to drive home and back (50 mins) to get them  . Had forgotten my phone and lunch too so managed to pick them up whilst at home. Bought breakfast bars at the Slimming club so that was £2.60 then £8 for a chippy tea. What a cheek lol.go to slimming club then to chippy on road home. Tbh it wasn't even that nice. Lost 3.5lbs so thats 10lbs in 2 weeks.:D . Very happy with that. Have 5 weeks to get into my nice suit for my graduation. I can get it fastened but no way could I sit down lol. I can't afford to buy a new one so I really need to do this and I will just buy a blouse for under it. I already have nice shoes, bag etc.
Oaid dd's phone bill today. Nearly choked me but hey it could have been worse I suppose. Busy day tomorrow as I need to be in th eoffice by 7.45 as new systems going i and I am working with the engineers to deal with any problems. What a hardship !! Stuck in a room with hunky men lol. Hope everyone is well xx

  • Hi. I really need to give myself a shake. I am knackered all the time but last few weeks have been really busy and stressful so its no wonder I am knackeed. I need to get back into moneysaving as I am not meeting the targets I set myself- or anywhere near them tbh and it is peeing me off. Kids have needed one thing after another. DD has cost me a fortune recently. I have my graduation next month and will be staying overnight in Edinburgh. This is a once in a lifetime thing so have booked hairdresser etc as I want to look my best. Will be an expensive night out too.  . M.O.T is due in March too and I reckon I need new brakes at least, possibly an exhaust. So really until the end of March I will be happy if I manage to break even and pay minimums. Never mind at least I am surviving and job is steady etc etc. Credit crunch is not htting me too much. If I didn't have th debt I would be absolutely fine. The amount the shoppinghas gone up has been negated by the amount the mortgage has gone down. So it's the bloody debt thats the problem.  . I need to settle myself until end of March then make a plan to meet my £8k target for this year. Hope everyone else is ok and upbeat at the mo xx

  • Hi folks. Haven't been on for a while. Been too tired. Have changed my job. Still in the same place but totally different job and I am mch happier in it. I am exhausted mind you as this job moves at 100 miles per hour all day. Had to work until 6.45 the other night just to clear the decks to take a couple days off. Passed my last aqssignment as well so am absolutely delighted about that. Just my project to get the result for and fingers crossed it will be okay.
DS just had a huge operation on his ear on Thursday and we had to stay overnight in the hospital. I got no sleep as it was really noisy and I was really worried about him. I lay there most of the night watching him lol. Haven't done that since they were babies. The op was much much more serious than I was expecting so was quite traumatic for me. He was oblivious mind you as I didnt tell him the severity of it and he got totally spoiled by grannies, aunties etc so he is qute happy. Dr told me befor ehe went in for op that the infection in his ear was in danger of reaching his brain and there was a real threat of meningitis:eek: . He then warned me that they would maybe have to sacrifice his hearing to get rid of the infection. I was totally in shock. Luckily they managed to save the bones in his ear and he may not be deaf. His hearing is badly compromised though and he will almost definately need hearing aids. I feel so sorry for him and I feel so guilty. Unreasonable to feel like that though as I have been told that it is just bad luck that he has got this. I feel really wobbly today and keep crying which is so not like me. DS is really pale and quiet. Blood hate it.

Any how. I have paid minimums on my cards today of £162. Total paid off this year is £713.22. A bit rubbish as should have been £1200 if was sticking to my target. Still got the same clearance date as I put them on the snowball as full interest and 2 of the cards are actually still on 0%. 1 comes off of it in April and the other in June so I will have to start looking around for new deals. Applied to capital one for a card but they just offered me their one at 30 odd % interest. Yeah right !! Offer is in bin. Was £108 in orrisons today but cupboards , fridge and freezer are all now full to bursting so that should do me for about 10days or so.
Need to start doing surveys etc again as I have been deleting them recently and really should get in the habit of doing them again. Got a voucher in for Evans for £10 and £6 in luncheon vouchers. I hope you are all well xx

  • So sorry to hear about your son MIT. It must have been a real scare and I guess with the hearing loss you will have a permenent reminder :(. At least he is well and there will be things that can help. Give him an extra hug from me (although you better not tell him because he will think its wierd!!).

Good news about the new job, happiness is so important in a job considering the amount of time spent.

Well done on the assignment and good luck with the project.
