  • Glad to hear your feeling better to day. Good luck with the race. I too lost my Dad years ago Id just end up in tears if I tried that.

Well done on controlling the tesco spends so easy to go on a spree. My local is a Tesco extra so I try to avoid going upstairs.

  • Hi KP. I Tell you I am so glad the Tesco's is miles away as I would be bankrupt by now never mind just skint :rotfl:. I love their clothes and household items.Much cheapness :D. And you know how we all love a bargain:p.

Well money saving has left me looking a right prat tonight!! I was trying to refill my son's ink cartridges in his printer and I hve got the bl**dy ink all over me :rotfl:. I have tried turps, nail polish remover and fairy liquid.my hands are like blue sandpaper now :rotfl:. Very attractive...........NOT!

I had the most fab dinner tonight. I covered a gammon joint with honey mixed with mustard powder and it was truly fabulous. Kids loved it too which is always a bonus. Have frozen some and along with the chicken leftovers from the other night I will make a stir fry on Saturday with noodles for us all. DInner for pennies and it will be delish as well. Can you tell I like my grub lol

Busy day today at work and very frustrating. Had to do the annual leave for the year for 55 staff.ANd they all want the same weeks lol. I'm nearly baldy tearing my hair out.

ANyway only spent £1.20 today on a wee bit salad for lunch and no spend yesterday at all. Pay away day tomorrow so hopefully my totals will go down a bit.

I hate doing our sections annual leave for December and there are only 8 of them, I truly think that war will break out one year!

Well done on signing up for the race for life. That is my aim one year but as its only been 6 months since I quit smoking I dont think my lungs are ready for it yet. They need a bit more time to recover!

Hope you and family are well x x x

  • Lol @ Penguin. You know my pain then re the annual leave.
I got paid yesterday and am so stressed. By the time I pay everything I am totally skint. I gave dd £20 to buy trousers for school and I need to take DS for trousers today too. Me ! I 'll get nowt as per :(. Maybe next month. I got the kids the boxes for cable for their rooms for Christmas and have a bill of £156 to pay this month:eek:. I am just about having a heart attack .Never mind. I am sure I'll survive. I always do. I have a night out next weekend though and it will be quite expensive so unfortunately my kids will just have to starve :). Yeah right! They would start munching on the furniture if there was no food.Hopefully not spend too much today but really need some shopping and trousers for DS so hmmm. Will tell my sins later x

  • The thing with kids as soon as you buy what they need they grow out of something! For me I have had shoes, trainers for youngest two and now DD1 has NO CLOTHES as she keeps telling me. To be fair I havent brought her much and she has had a couple of growth spurts but because she is sooo skinny its a nighmare to find trousers that fit. Lovely Tesco stop doing adjustable at aged 10-11 argh.....

Good luck for the month as you said you will survie I gues there is no choice.

am here to confess my spending sins from yesterday;). All necessary unfortunately. £62 for shopping which included a pair of £4 jeans from ASDA for me - trend setter I am not :rotfl:. My old jeans gave up the ghost last weekend and I only have joggers for wearing other than work clothes and I refuse to go out in joggers except to the gym due to the wobble factor on my a$$. Got DS trousers. Tried everywhere but he is just such an awkward shape just now that it was atotal nightmare. I tried the market as a last resort and got ones for sturdy boy that fitted him to perfection :j. The generous ones in BHS were massive on him although their normal sized ones would not fasten. £11.99 a pair and I bought 2. Got him 2 shirts as well but they were only £3.50 from ASDA. Spent £10 in MacDonalds :o. Now that was not MSE or healthy eating lol but hey life is short.

I have only spent £2 today on the gym so am happy with today. I have worked so hard all weekend that work will seem like a rest tomorrow. I took my mum shopping yesterday. So what ? I hear you say well read on and you will discover the trials and tribulations of my life :rotfl:.
I need to use a wheelchair to get my mum out of the house and when I went in there yesterday all set to go my 'darling' brother had taken the key for the cupboard that the wheelchair was in:mad:. I then had to drive to my aunt's and get her chair , humph it into the boot, back to mum's. humphed it out the boot. Got mum out and into the car, humphed it into the boot. Got to shops, humphed it out, came back from shops, etc etc etc 10 effing times I had to get that chair out and in my boot. I'm only 5'3 and it is no mean feat doing that pmsl I deserved a bl**dy MacDonalds. Took my mum to Morrison's when we came back. Then cooked everyone dinner. Then took myself and 3 kids to ASDA for my shopping!! Came home, did 2 loads of wash and then collapsed.

Today I have cleaned 1 bedroom, 2 halls, 1 stairs,1 lounge, 1 kitchen and 1 bathroom. Hoovered and mopped all floors in said rooms and went to the gym for an hour. 3 loads of washing as well. I just can't understand why oh why I am fat !! Knackered now for some reason :rotfl:. BUT house is grand, Hair is dyed, Have had a nice bath and have time to come on here. What more could I want? Hmm , A butler, A cleaner and a cook for a start lol. Hope you are all good xx

  • just checking in. Spemt £9 tonight on a chippy as it was after 7 before we got coming home. Was at parent's night so was held up. That's my excuse lol. It was delicious :D. Busy day at work today. Had a spreadsheet to populate and closed it without saving :eek:only took me an hour of head scratching to do it:mad:. Was nearly in tears with frustration. Never mind I can do it again in the morning without the head scratching. Hope you are all well.

  • Good evening. Another manic day. LOads of changes happening in my work this week. LOads of deadlines that are almost impossible to reach. My manager is offline as he has meetings nearly all week and I am doing his job. UNfortunately nobody is getting to do mine so I am doing that as well . I'm basically achieving very little lol as I am stretched too far. On Sunday DS took ill and he has been off school since. Had him at docs tonight as he is having dizzy turns and I was worried it was his ears . Thankfully it is not. He gets migraines every so often and they give him vertigo. It's a shame as he is only 12. Seems to happen when he has a huge growth spurt which he has recently had. Thankfully he does not get the severe pain that others get. It's more his balance and his eyes that are badly affected.Still a shame though as he can hardly put one foot in front of the other. It gets better as the day goes on and by bedtime he is back to normal. It lasts for about a week each time it happens so probably another few days to go.
So to spends. It's a NSD today:j. First one in ages :D. DInner already cooked for tomorrow night for us and my mum. If DS goes to school then I will need to fork out lunch money but other than that tomorrow 'should' be another cheap one. JUst chillin tonight and doing as little as I can :D. Hope everyone is good

  • hi. Well I am so glad that week is over. What a stressful time it has been. WOrk was mad. Customers all going crazy, staff stressed out their brains and I am frazzled. Have a few days off now and not due back until next Wednesday :j. I have left loads of instructions for my deputy and my boss :pso hopefully by the time I go back things will be settled down nicely and all trainees will be ensconced with their mentors and ready to rock and roll :D. Doubtful lol but I am the eternal optimist.

I have hardly spent any money the last few days. I have a night out tomorrow night and have kept all my money for that. I feel guilty for going out as I am well skint but it has been arranged for weeks and I am really looking forward to it.
I'm doing the olympic challenge and it has really opened my eyes as to how much interest I am forking out each month. I have paid off £278.71 so far this month but only £85.75 has come off of my credit card debts. It is very frustrating . I have to keep reminding myself that at least it is coming down. No wonder my snowball tells me it'll be 5 years lol at that rate. Oh well hopefully I will learn a lesson from this. I hope everyone else is well xx

Hi MIT just have a catch up.

Work sounds hellish at the moment, enjoy your days off and as you say hopefully everything will be calm and collected when you go back!

Hope your son is ok. I suffer from migraines since I had my daughter, luckily only get them once in a blue moon, but they really knock you for six.

Sounds like you have been getting plenty of exercise taking your mum out and all that cleaning!

    Look after yourself xxx
