  • Thanks Penguin. Will do. DS is now fine and dandy. Completely back to normal. The migraines always last about 4-5 days so no school. Kids are off until Wednesday and so am I:j,

I went out last night with a load of cousins. Took the car though as I am very short on cash this week ( what's new? ) lol. Had some food and drank soft drinks and only spent £14 so was well pleased with that:D. Took my mum out yesterday up Loch Lomondside to see my friend who had a cabin there for the night. That was nice. It's only a couple of miles from my house and so gorgeous. We had a lovely afternoon
Today I have been painting all day. Doing my hall and stairs. 10 doors painted and all the wee spindle things on the stairs . Talked DD into doing the spindles lol. I have checked the paint colour on the walls and it looks great. It's called pebble beach and I am loving it. Bought all this paint last year in the summer and just got time this weekend to get it on the walls. Can't wait to see the finished product. There's nothing like a bit of decorating to give you a lift. I look as if I have dipped myself in the gloss mind you. I am so messy when I paint lol. Will hopefully finish it tomorrow and have Tuesday free.
I haven't been shopping this week so ended up calling a chippy tonight as I had no time to coojk, no food really anyway. Will try and go tomorrow. I have about £30 to get some stuff to see us through until the end of the week. Thank god this is a short month. Hope you are all good xx
5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
    Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
    Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
    By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.00
  • hey. Can't believe it's been 4 days since I was on here . Just goes to show how busy my week has been.
My hall is finished. Just the wooden floor to scrub and going to clean the carpet on the stairs ( maybe) :p. The colour is fab and it looks so clean. I am very pleased with it. Was knackered by the time I finished it though. Took me 3 whole days. Would have cost me > £200 for a decorator though so worth the effort. I have been off the rails a bit the last few days on the spends and the eating. I wonder if others find that! I am either in total control or I lose it on all fronts . Does my head in. I'll have about £50 this week in cash to buy shopping and petrol so a bit cr*p and probably not achievable. I'll do my best though. I also owe my CC £70 that I had to use so that's not so good either ! I'll pay it off when I get paid at end of the month. I am going to revisit my direct debits for my CC's and add a tenner to them all. At least if I do that then some overpayments will be made every month and I can stop berating myself for not existing on rice and paying everything off my debts.
Hope you are all good xx

  • damn!! the direct debits for the cards all want minimum or pay in full except Barclaycard. I will just have to set up a standing order for them all wehn I get paid. I have 5 cards so that'll be £50 on payday and also the minimum on them all. Sorted lol

  • Yep so easy to lose control for a day or few and the spends just fly out.

Well done on the hall :j

Are you online with any of the cards or do you pay via online banking? I pay the minimum on mine each month but can pay extra via my bank. At the moment I am clearing any Tesco cc spends (great for points!) each week so even though Im in the od I know my true position rather than another cc building up.

    May 2013 new beginnings:j
  • Am online with them all KP so will just pay an extra tenner to each on payday and then ad hoc payments when I have some cash. The normal minimums will come out during the month as usual. Oh how I wish I had never got into all this debt. I am not a stupid person but I must have been stupid to allow this to happen

  • had done a lovely long post and lost it.

Here we go again. Been busy today. Cleared up all upstairs. Got pics etc back on walls after decorating so hall is looking really good. I am really pleased with it. It's amazing the difference a coat of paint makes. Still have the lounge and kitchen to clean but am only going to do one of them as I can't be bothered now.
I changed £1k from a credit card to another for a 6.9% l.o.b so that should save me a wee bit. Unfortunately I have swapped and changed my cc debt about so often that I no longer get good deals. :(. I have had to put money on a card this month as I have been so incredibly skint. Was for food and petrol so not squandered. This has menat I have paid off around £300 from cc's in a month but between interest and putting the additional money on I have only paid off £5.55 in total  It's soul destroying. It really is giving me a huge kick up the bum to sort myself out once and for all. I aM GOING TO TREAT US TO A CHINESE TONIGHT AND THEN KNUCKLE DOWN BIG TIME.

tHE KIDS HATE PACKED LUNCHES SO i AM GOING TO COMPROMISE WITH THEM AND DO PACKED LUNCHES EXCEPT FOR A mONDAY AND fRIDAY ( OOPS CAPS) I am paying out £35 per week just now for lunches and that's not including what I spend on top iof that. Probably about another £20:eek:. That's really shocking actually. I have just realised by writing it down how much it amounts to. I am also going to really plan my meals and sort that bill out as well. I can do this when I put my mind to it. My snowball date is now April 2016. I just cannot allow myself to be in debt then as I will only have my wages coming in and it will be impossible. I have got to get it right down by 2012 as much as I can for when DD leaves school and my income drops drastically. Panic! Panic!

Right that's me mentally kicked my butt yet again. I am away to list what food I have. Take care all xx

  • Evening all ;). Hope everyone has had a lovely day. Well I didn't have the chinese last night I had a pot noodle instead :rotfl:. No difference lol. I was so disgusted at how much money I was wasting on lunches I couldn't justify the spend. Probably wouldn't have enjoyed it anyway.
I listed all the food I had and managed to do a full week's meals from the freezer. Had to buy a few things today and bought loads for lunches so should be fine for everything this week. Shopping was £54 but I got a large soap powder, fabric conditioner and kitchen rolls within that. I found the bit in the supermarket with the spices in the packets rather than the wee tubs and they are about half the price. Igot a bag of cumin for 49p:D. I got a couple of recipes off of here last night so am going to try them out this week. I will make a curry from some chicken I have and a potato, bacon and oniony thing another night. One of the problems I am having just now is that every second night I cook for my mum and she will not even try any spicy foods. In fact she won't try anything lol. The nights I am at hers this week I am cooking - Today - Roast chicken, Tomorrow- Shepherds pie, Wednesday - corned been hash, Friday - sausage and mash with gravy. Veggies of course with all of them but you can see my problem lol. Boring food. The other nights we will have curry and the potatoey, oniony thing. Yum Yum. Much more our taste. Dry food bores me. I love flavours and sauces etc. I love cooking tbh so my mum's type of food stifles my tastebuds lol

Kids have happily accepted the fact that they will be getting packed lunches 3 days per week. I have bought them things they like and they are happy that they will still get money 2 days per week. DS said most of his friends take packed lunch anyway but DD is that bit older and likes to do her own thing so I know it is more of a sacrifice for her and I appreciate the fact that no fuss was made around it. I just need to make sure I have a really nice lunch for them and a good variety of food.
Am going to browse for a wee catch up xx

  • A wee day off for me today but this is the first I have sat down:(. Never mind ironing is done, dineer is made for tomorrow night and house is pretty tidy:j.
Back to work tomorrow. Will need to make up the packed lunches as kids are taking them tomorrow too as it is one of their 3 days.
Today I have spent £14 on school dinners for the 2 days that the kids are eating and £2.20 on 2 rolls and sausage. DS was at the hospital for a check up on his ears today and we always stop at a wee stall on the way back from Glasgow and get him a roll. We have done it every time he has been so I hate to stop it as he so looks forward to it. Easy pleased my boy lol.

Made shepherds pie today for me, mum and DS. Was yummy. I have also made tomorrows dinner for me and the kids so pretty well organised. Just need to keep this up and might be ablke to pay back some off the money I used on my card before pay day. I will be really pleased if I manage to do that.

I waited in all afternoon for Scottish Gas to come and look at a broken radiator. They called at 4.30 to say they wouldn't be coming as they had been unavoidably delayed:mad:. I am normally a very calm person but I had to hang the phone up so I didn't tell the guy to f off I was so angry. The reason for the extreme anger is that this happens to me all the time. I stayed in on 5 occasions in 1 week before for them to come and all the compensation they gave me was £10 . I called the complaints department and got a booking for Wednesday between 8-10am. It makes me so so angry when they treat me like that as I have got to take time off of work to wait on them and it is as if my time is irrelevant. I am paying for this service . I was nearly crying with temper by the time I was through. How bl**dy dare they treat me like that yet again. I am really going to look hard at changing companies as they are just p*ssing me off now. I am calm and zen like now lol ( I have had chocolate ice cream)
