  • hey hey! I'm watching a daft teen programme called my super sweet sixteen:eek:. OMG! How spoilt are these kids. It's totally disgusting. They are such brats. This guy on this programme has his own black cab !! What's that all about  His mum just bought him a Rolex and a BMW as his present. I'd have kicked his cheeky a$$ till it was bruised for his attitude;).

Brits are on now:D. Aww dizzee so excited.I always swore I would never like any of that type of music but I hear it all so often I love it . Am converted. KIds howl at me though as I never sing the right words:o

Anyway to spends today. Not been too great as I bought a cake at lunch and flour and sweets tonight. SPent about £8 in all BUT I am going off sweets etc for lent and I had promised the kids we would make pancakes. DS was so excited I thought he might explode lol. Had lots of fun making them ( and eating them ) so worth the spends. Enjoying chilling with my girl now and enjoying watching all the prats on the BRITS lol

  • No spend yesterday.:j. Spent 75p today on some soup from the canteen. It was carrot and coriander and a couple of people had said it was delicious. It wasn't lol. I make carrot and coriander and it is yum yum and that just wasn't.

I made a curry from scratch last night and ate it tonight. OMG amazing. I have never cooked a curry from scratch before, I've always used jars in the past. So much cheaper doing this though now I have all the spices and tastier. Kids tried some but they found it a bit too spicy:rotfl:. It was really mellow as well. SLight heat but not too bad. WIll reduce the chilli next time.

I've actually had £16.50 this week maintenance so the week before payday i am better off than i have been in weeks:D. going to go to the pics at the weekend maybe. Kids both have sleepovers on Sat night so I might as well take advantage of the free time and the extra cash lol

Hope you are all good x

  • Hi folks. Went to pics last night to see Valentine's day with my friend. Good old fashioned chick flick :D. Took juice etc with me so only spent £7. I've been sticking like glue to my menu planning and shopping list and it has made a huge difference to my spending. I managed to pay £35 off of my CC today as an overpayment. Unfortunately I had spent some money on it earlier in the month so tbh I am just making that up. Not quite made it all up yet but almost there. Should hopefully manage to make a dent in it a wee bit next month.
My car is due it's MOT next month and I am slightly concerned about that. Not sure why I am concerned but I reckon I might need new tyres at least. Am going to get them checked on payday as MOT due on 23.03. Will need to get the kids to scrub the whole thing as it is manky at the minute. My mum calls it the wheelie bin :o. I just never have time to get it done.
I made leek and potato soup today. It was yum. We had that and a roast chicken dinner. Have loads and loads of chicken left for another night so that is great. Not sure what I'll use it for theough. Might just stick it in a gravy and serve with mash and veggies. Will be really tasty.

Also made 2 shepherd pies. 1 for tomorrow night and one in the freezer. That's 2 meals already for next week due to careful cooking. I would have jsut dished all that up and thrown what was left on the plates out. I have at least realised that I can actually get 2 meals out of most things if I stretch it slightly. I bought a roll of pork yesterday too so will cook that one night and that will definately do 2 nights as well. I can see us having the same meals next week as this one at this rate lol.
Hope you are all well xx

Hi MIT, sounds like you have had a nice weekend. Well done on the menu planning, I have got to get back into that. Cupboards, fridge and freezer full but still manage to spend a fortune on the weekly shop!

Yeay on getting some maintenance through, is it becoming more regular now? xxx

  • Hi penguin. THat would be no on the maintenance front lol. I told my ex to shove it and withdrew my claim a couple of months ago but he owes thousands in arrears and he is paying them off ........slowly :rotfl:. KIds will be about 30 by the time he is finished:rotfl:PRAT:mad:. Never mind I'll take it whilst it comes. I certainly will not depend on it.

You really need to menu plan etc as it is saving me a fortune. Ok cupboards and freezer are much emptier than they were but I have only spent £110 on shopping the last 2 weeks :j. Was spending that more or less in a week. We have eaten much better as well due to good organisation. It really doesn't take any more time either once you are on a roll............so why do I stop doing the organised thing so often??????/

KIds are quite settled with their packed lunches as well so all is good. No spend today so that's grand. Going to be acting into the grade above for nearly 3 weeks so that'll bring in a wee bit extra :D.

    Hope everyone is well

We have a day in work on Friday for the heart foundation and we will be selling cakes etc to raise cash so I needed to go and get some supplies. Needed a few other bits and pieces too. Payday on Friday so that's good. I do like to see my totals going down a wee bit once a month. Hope you are all well x

  • pay away day :j.
Spreadsheets done. Had to pay £60 to my cc's to take me up to my snowball promise amount. That plus the minimum's will be paid. For next month's bills I will be paying £179.32 interest. That's more than my mortgage !!!!!!. I had planned mid month for us all to go onto packed lunches and was fab except yesterday and today for myself. I bought canteen food and tbh it was minging as usual so I definitely need to remind myself of that next time I am tempted.
I lost another 6lbs yesterday at my weight management group. That's 1 stone 2.5lbs all in. It has taken me since November but that's the way I want to do it. I have another month to go eith this programme as it is and I would like to get to 1.5 stones by then. I don't care how long it takes to lose my weight as it took years to go on. I just don't want to have to starve and suffer whilst I am doing it. So slow and steady lol might pay off the CC's first before I get to goal weight and that's 6 years away :rotfl:. Never mind just think I will have £300 per month to spend on clothes:D. Always a silver lining.:T.

Am watching the Chris Moyles quiz. David Walliams is hilarious. Hope you are all well xx

hi folks. Well miracles do happen and I have a free afternoon. Nu mother to look after as my brother has got her for the day and for once I put my foot down and made the kids help me clean the house so it is all tiday, Dinner is all prepped and the soup is cooking away nicely :D. I have time to sit on my butt and just chill:D:D:D. I have criminal minds on the telly and am going to spend all afternoon browsing and catching up with diaries. Am very happy person :D.

Went shopping yesterday as it was payday :o. £107 in Morrisons . About £25 of that was the kids mind you but most was me. I spend a fortune on juice and really really need to try and cut this down. DD and I are going to a 21st next week so I bought her a dress and there was another casual dress that was so nice and only £15 that I bought her that too. She was so excited. Makes me feel all guilty when they get so excited about wee things like that. I would just love to give her an allowance to buy clothes every month but hey ho no can do. I had saved £20 in change and my mum had given her a tenner so the dresses actually didn't cost me any additional cash .I got her the new falsies mascara with my boots points so that was good. What did I get? A new lippy lol. My mum asked me what I was wearing to the party and I replied 'whatever's clean' but I have a new lippy so all is well. :rotfl:

My Norton subscription is coming off this month too :(. £64.99. I really need to stop being so lazy and shopping about for a better deal for that but I must say since I went onto this package I have never had a virus and it is only £1.50 per week in real terms so well worth it to me. it covers the 2 kids' PC's as well.

Looks like I have mice again. They must be nesting nearby and just coming in when the snow comes as there was no sign of them until we had another foot of snow fall. Snowing again just now. I am well fed up with it tbh. Looks lovely but I am having to jump off of my pavement to get onto the road it is that deep .

I have started a new savings tub along with my change. I am going to put 50p's in this tub and save for my plants etc for my garden so that we can get it all nice for the summer. I want to pave a fair bit of the back garden as it would be so much easier for me to keep. I love pottering about in tubs but hate doing a big garden.

The smell of soup is making me very hungry now

  • New lippy nice touch to make things feel new. I know what you mean about DD. Id love to give DD1 and 2 more but right now I strees over pocket money. DD1 has outgrown most of her clothes, her shoes are worn out and now she has outgrown the guides tops.

Hope you enjoy criminal minds. I watch the new episodes on friday. So glad its back. Got to go DS in the bath.

  • I made pork for dinner and used less than half of it so I thought ' grand that'll do in rice or something for another night' WRONG dd decided to throw it out !!!! I could choke her. DS decided that the hamster needed a wash !! poor wee thing will probably be dead with shock in the morning. It's freezing here. And I had to set the mouse traps. My life this evening has been !!!! but I am sure I will laugh about it tomorrow........NOT
