  • Naughty me I haven't been on here for a week . Not gone off the rails for once though just had a manic week. I'm the boss for a few weeks and have 54 staff so am knackered when I get in and just needing to chill.

Am on strike tomorrow and Tuesday so it's a good job I am acting out of grade as that will make sure the money is made up for that. Have had to put £120 onto my cc this month so far but hopefully will manage to pay most of it off by the end of the month as next month will be an expensive one for me as DD is 16 and expecting big things lol. She's been watching 'my sweet 16th ' on MTV and reckons she should be getting a major pressie:eek:. I have no clue what to get her tbh. I have MOT this month too and that just scares the cr*p out of me as it has such potential to cost a fortune.
It is really chilly here but totally gorgeous day. Snow is almost away. SKies are blue and sun is out :D. Ben LOmond looks stunning just now with the snow on it and the LOch in the foreground. How lucky am I to have that view every morning :D. Going to have a wee browse now and hang up another load of washing. Hope everyone is good x

    By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.00
  • hi folks. Still on strike :o. Am loving the time off but must admit I am a wee bit worried about how the 2 days wages will affect my budget at the end of the month. Been baking today so there will be goodies for eating for the rest of the week. Only problem is that when I bake everyone wants some lol. Both my neighbours want some gingerbread cake so I will half one between them. My mum wants a half gingerbread and some fairy cakes lol. Probably ends up costing me more than buying it would but never mind I love folks enjoying my food.

Was at docs today for blood results. Thyroid is fine, I'm not menopausal yet lol, no diabetes and all other results good as well :D. So I'm obviously just knackered because of my frantic life. That's fine as it will only be for another couple years then the kids will be old enough to look after themselves ( more or less) and my poor mum will either be in a home or god forbid no longer with us. So I will carry on for the moment.

Big shock in my account today as ex had paid £37 via child support agency. Just towards his arrears mind you but I paid it straight off of my credit card as I had used that at the weekend for shopping.I need to try and find another £90 before the end of the month to make up for what I have put on card as my Norton came off as well this month .

My daughter has decided that she wants a Thomas Sabo bracelet. not too bad as it will cost less than £50 :D. So I will get her that and get her a nice dress or something as well. I have told her that I will take her and her boyfriend out for dinner and she wants to go to Pizza Hut so, good show, as that could have been worse if she had wanted to go to the local hotel or something. Pizza Hut is not too bad.

DD's boyfriend is coming ( yet again) for dinner . He loves my cooking but hey ho he is getting chicken burgers tonight as kids wanted them for dinner. I think he thinks we eat healthy home made all the time. We do most of the time but not always lol and mainly because I hate pre packed processed food.Kids would eat it every night if they could. But yuk!

I hope everyone is well xx

  • Baking all done. Kids fed (DS's BF loved it again lol). Lunch made for my mum and her cronies for tomorrow. Dinner made for tomorrow night. Just lunches to sort out for tomorrow and that's me. Back to work tomorrow and already had a call to tell me I have an emergency meeting at 9.15am to work out the day's priorities after the strike. Mine will be for my staff to get through the day with no tears or tantrums as our customers can be incredibly rude and some may see it as their mission in life to make us miserable tomorrow. Dreading the next couple of days to be honest but I will paint on the smile and cope as best we can. Early night tomight I reckon :D

  • Hi folks. Well I survived the day. No tears, no tantrums, but also no lunch or breaks for me so Gaelic had to get missed tonight unfortunately as I was exhausted after working for 10 solid hours.. Had to drop into my mum's and feed her on the way home then come home and feed the kids. Luckily I had made pasta last night so I just picked up some chips from the chippy and voila a delicious meal lol. Mega unhealthy but hey ho so is the 10 hour working day. :o.Not spent much so am pleased enough with that. £10 due from scratches so will pay that from CC when it comes through. That'll be only £80 to find by end of month to pay off what I used on CC and I will be well pleased if I manage that. Hope everyone is good x

  • hi folks. What a couple of days! Work has been mental. Not because it's busy just been mental. I feel like a supply teacher and all the kids are misbehaving :rotfl:Unfortunately it's adults ( and I use the term loosely) I am dealing with. I've spent nearly 2 hours today doing a synopsis of the cr*p I've put up with the last couple of days as I can just see me ending up getting the blame. Am really ticked off tbh. My poor boss must put up with this all the time. Has had an ipact on spending too as I have been comfort eating and buying loads of junk food to eat. Spent £92 in supermarket last night and put it on my card. That's £170 I need to find by end of the month. Am stressed lol Need more chocolate.

Mothers day tomorrow. Got my mum some flowers and smellies and walnut whips frm Marks and Sparks. SHe's taking us all out for lunch as I've no money. Nothing new there then ;). No other spends than that though. Hope you are all well

  • if you don't want to read a moaning rant then go no further.
What an effing week! This better have been worth it in monetary terms. Not sure how much I will receive for working as manager as I have only had a couple of days before and can't remember how much I got for it. I also got my cc bills in and I am maxed out ( yet again). I am gutted. I know I have spent it but OMG we do not live the high life. it is the interest that has killed me completely. I am going to cut the cards once and for all and call the companies and see what can be done about the interest payments. I just can't keep doing this. I pay the minimums each month and a few pounds extra but this leaves me so skint I need to use the cards then to feed us. Vicious circle. I know it was me that borrowed the money and I will pay it all back but at this rate it will never happen. I don't want a DMP or to go bankrupt but will be happy to call the companies and discuss interest rates. My car is going in for MOT on Monday and I have no idea what it will cost. My friend's car is same age as mine and just cost her £500:eek:. If mine costs that then I am running away . My mum's birthday is next week:eek: do I have a pressie for her?? Do I h*ll!!! My dd is 16 in April . I am on strike again next week . Can you recognise the panic mode I am in?

Saying all that I am sitting watching sport relief and feel mega mega guilty for even saying I am skint. We have a house, we have food and are warm.

Oh b*llocks I am scunnered

  • (((((hugs))))) I so know how you feel. Like a hamster running round in circles getting absolutley nowhere. I wish I could offer guidance but Im in the same boat. Should have some money spare after paying the mins but there are always extra bits and when Im stressed a little extra spend ie a takeaway all add up.

Like you say things could be worse

  • KP they just got worse and tbh the money thing is not that important to me just now. Just realised just how sick my poor mum is. She has pulmonary fibrosis and seems to be getting worse really quickly. I have been really down about where I have held everyone together for months. I reckon her birthday this week is hitting me really hard as I have no idea whether she will behere for another one.
Car passed its MOT so that was great news. Still watching what I am spending. Bought my mum a watch and an old fashioned cake stand for her birthday. Will get her some flowers too and spend the day with her tomorrow. God I am such a moany git just now. I know I promised to come back and be nice but my life is just sh*te just now. I hope you are all well xxxx
