thanks KP. Been a really scary week but she was slightly better last night so fingers crossed she has turned a corner.
SPent £82 in ASDA yesterday but got a few things for dd's birthday on Tuesday so that wasn't too bad. Was out with friends last night so spent a tenner there. Was so not in the mood though and came home early. I'll hopefully have a no spend day today. Going to see mum this afternoon and hoping to see further improvement5 Year plan. Damn it I spent £2.10. DS wanted juice and sweets at the hospital and considering he had had no lunch I felt I couldn't refuse
. Never mind.

Mum coming home tomorrow. I am shattered so am glad she is getting out as I can go back to having to go out every second night instead of every night.
Not been too bad with the spends. Could have been better i.e the chippy dinner at £8 tonight. I had no time whatsoever to cook 9 well I do now but too late to eat lol)

hi. HAdn't realised it had been over a week since i had been on here. I have been so busy it is unbelievable. I think I said roll on mum coming home as my life would be less manic. Ha bl**dy ha. Today is the first day in weeks where I have been able to sit on my butt with a reasonably tidy home and not feel I have to rush and do 'stuff'. Poor mum , it's not her fault. she is just so dependant on me now.
Anyways, onto money saving. I have not managed to pay anything extra off of anything:o. Had to buy some clothing for ds this month as he has grown out of everything. Had to end up in the gents department as nothing in the kids bit fitted him. I remember I used to have to take all the waistbands in for him :rotfl:not anymore. He has grown out the way and has still to go up the way, poor thing. Not fat as such but definitely chunky. THe trousers only need a wee hem taken up and they will be perfect on him. That is great though because at least I know now what size he needs and can just pick him up some things when he needs them instead of having to drag him along shopping with me.
I have been really good at keeping up my spending diary and I am horrified at the bad habits that have crept back into my daily spending. Hopefully I can curb them this month now that I have recognised the trends. My biggest one is lunches. I already know this is a major expense for me so I am at a loss as to why I always do it again and again. I can spend over a tenner a day on lunches and frequently do. I don't have a tenner to spend on lunches  and lets face it a tenner overpayment per day would soon make a difference to my balances.
I made a bakewell traybake today and it is really scrummy so that will do for packed lunches this week and I have plenty of meat, bread etc in the cupboards so I just need to be organised a bit better. DD is sitting her standard grades just now so she is on study leave and can eat at home.she can eat something on toast.
Off to make dinner now. Hope you are all well. xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

What is it with parents?!!! Its bad enough that we have sprogs, job and house to look after!!!
Glad to hear she is almost back to normal and you can get a break.
Well done on keeping up the spends diary at least you can say where teh money went ans Im sure its saved you some money even if youve not been as good as you would like.:j0 -
Hi KP. My poor mum won't get any better. She will need this level of care on an ongoing basis. I am glad to do it though but it does get exhausting sometimes. The other annoying thing is that she does not like anything fancy to eat and as I am cooking of rher every second night we end up eating the plain food she likes
. Saves me cooking two dinners. Never mind it makes her happy.
DS just found a tenner in the street. He is well chuffed but some poor soul has lost that. If it was anywhere other than in the street I would make him hand it in but there's no way of finding out who lost in there so he can keep it for himself. He's saving up for a laptop so that's good.
Going to have to buy shoes today . I hate shoes. I am the only woman I know who does not have a shoe collection. I only buy them when I absolutely have to and unfortunately my current shoes have a hole in them so I have reached the stage where I have to. I have lots of problems with my feet and am waiting to see the surgeon in June re an op on one of them. This means I have to buy really good shoes or I end up binning them as I can't bear them on my feet for any longer than a few minutes. I have £43.50 in my purse and I am not spending a penny more than that on them.

have a look online for flyflots - really comfy for my wide feet that struggle with shoes. Normally stick to ankle boots.:j0

I usually buy fly flots. They are great. Haven't ever bought the shoes or boots though just the mule type ones. That's what I am going to get today. We have a pavers outlet nearby so will head down there.5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Hi. Would have had a no spend day today except for kids lunches
. SHould have got up early and made sandwiches for them. I'll try tomorrow. I have everything there for packed lunches but overslept this morning. I am really tired just now so when I come in from work I am ending up vegging out on the settee. Every second night I need to go to my mum's to get her dinner before coming home and feeding the kids. Then I end up with loads of people phoning to see how my mum is. My neighbour came to my door at 9pm last night and sat until nearly 10. I am knackered lol. HOuse is a midden and I am so disorganised. Feeling moany. Must be PMT . Hope everyone is good xx

No wonder with everything thats going on. How about a nice hot bath (wine choccies maybe?!) tonight with strict instructions to the kids that you are not in or just unplug the phone for a bit.
Came home knackered yesterday and blew my diet by having a big plate of chips and then hitting the icecream. Oh well only myslef to blame if tonight doesnt go well.
