  • hope you got on okay tonight KP. My diet has gone to pot recently. Been trying this week to take lunches with me to work though and obviously the packed lunches are much better for me than canteen ones. I even took some fruit and veg unfortunately I took crisps too :o.
Had to go and make my mum's dinner straight from work so didn't get out of hers until 6.30. DD's BF was here for dinner so I ended up picking up a pizza on the way home. £14.20  and I don't even really like pizza. Jeezo . Didn't go to waste mind you as 3 hungry adolescents got stuck into it.I allowed myself £300 for food this month and I am being ogood at keeping a running total. I only have £149.25 left to do until the end of the month . No chance.
    Hope you are well

  • Hi. WHat a lovely day it is here today. SUn is shining and washing is flapping away in the breeze. AH bliss.
SPent £36.50 in ASDA this week so I am really pleased with that. DOwn to just over £100 in my budget left though until end of the month. Ha ha . I am doubtful of that. My friends are all away out to Glasgow today for a boozy afternoon but I had no money. 2 of them offered to pay for me but I can't bear that. I have let someone pay before and I spent all night worrying and fussing about it. THere was absolutely no need for me to do that as the offer to pay was genuine. Todays offer was genuine as well but I just couldn't. I have a day out next week with people I went through a course with last year so any money I have I will be using for that. I hope or they are having a nice time.............or do I lol;).
I really have the munchies today. Must be because I have had a lazyish day. Having a huge baked potato and burger for dinner so that should fill me up. I hope so anyway. Hope anyone reading is having a great and sunny day xx

  • Hi folks. Been a while since I was here. Life has been rather manic. Loads of problems with my poor mum who is still plodding along although really quite poorly. Problems with DS being bullied and mega mega skint. I can't believe how much I am spending on petrol and food these days . So here I am back here to try and sort myself out.
I looked at a DMP and also the trust deed for Scotland but am loathe to go either way but my credit cards are going to take me at least until 2020 to repay at the current speed as I am only managing minimums on them all. Bit soul destroying. I have a pay freeze for 2 years which is really peeing me off as everything else in my life is increasing. All I need is for the mortgage rates to o up and I surrender :o.
I must admit that when I do not come on here then my spending is sillier than usual so am hoping that by coming in again and posting instead of browsing then I might get a bit better.
One good thing at the minute is that kids are on holidays here now so at least no lunch money etc needed. Oh another good thing is that my mum is paying for me and the kids to go away for a long weekend and I have also got a long weekend booked in November in Benidorm with my friends and that is paid for already :D.
My near future problems are : uniforms for 2 children, SOme spending money for short break ( although I think my mum is giving me some) Car tax and exam money to my DD depending on her standard grade results.
Going to try and buy the car tax during this month so that at the end of month I can get uniforms and some moneY to DD. That's the plan anyway.

My ex is paying £20 towards his child maintenance arrears each week and I am waiting on the maintenance being assessed as I decided to reclaim. DD has a part time job so that helps a LOT as I don't need to dish out to her constantly. Also when she goes back to school she will get £30 per week educational maintenance. I have told her that she will have to pay her own lunches and also keep her uniform renewed throughout the year. THat will be a huge help for me financially. Come DEcember DS can get a paper round so he will do that and that'll save me money for him too :D. I can see light at the end of the tunnel but it is still very faint just now;).

    Hello

Sorry you Mums been suffering hope it eases ASAP.

Glad you can see some light. As long as the total figure goes down each month or so then you arent digging any deeper and closer to the top.

  • Hi KP. You're right and the figures have gone down albeit just a thousand or so BUT all the loans etc running in the background are getting closer to being paid off which will free up some much needed cash. I think my car is first and that's next summer. That'll give me about £160 a month to help with debts. After that it will be my personal loan which will be a couple of years after that. Oh well maybe I'll win the lottery lol

  • Hi folks.
Had a wee chat with my daughter who is earning lots of money during the summer with her wee job and her babysitting and she offered to buy her own uniform :T. I said I would get her shoes and Jacket but they will just be primark pumps and a mac from primark probably so not much cost there. Big relief tbh as her uniform is always the most expensive one as she is fussy but DS couldn't care less. Long may that last.

Looking for it to be a nsd today. Not been out as it is miserable here. Got my washing half dried and then the heavens opened. I have even had to put the heating on as it is cold and also to dry the washing. I gutted the bathroom as it was minging :o. I was terrified incase anyone visited :rotfl:. All gorgeously clean now and smelling yummy. Only 6 rooms and various cupboards to go . And the garden which is mega . Never mind I have 2 weeks to get it all done so perhaps just as well that it is teeming down with rain as it makes sure I get my butt in gear and get on with it.

Going to Doune castle tomorrow. My ds loves castles and we go regularly but I have never been to Doune so I am looking forward to that. I have a historic Scotland membership so we get in for free. I'll take packed lunches so that'll just be petrol to pay :D. Nice cheap day out that DS will love.

I am feeling motivated again. Although I know I will probably not pay any extras to anything I just want to be on the straight and narrow for a while so I manage to achieve everything financially that is coming my way the next few weeks.

Chicken Tikka Masala for dinner ( slimming world version). Looks yummy but I haven't nade it before so time will tell. Kids love chicken tikka so fingers crossed it is a success. I'll tell you later xx
