You wasn't significantly contributing to the team? :)

Your English is somewhat lacking as well
Don't you mean "I" rather than "You"
    I wasn't - You Aren't

I'm not sure if you are trying to be funny. It's hard to tell given you general "tone" on here.

Just to clarify since you seem somewhat hard of thinking: my workload was the same as everyone elses. Our diaries were full. If one person leaves what happens to their workload since there is nowhere for it to be absorbed?

You seem incredibly smug for someone who does what is basically a poorly paid DWP job (with all due respect to the people on here, who seem a nice bunch) and also, it would appear, has racked up a stupendous debt. You don't appear to be all that smart to me.

    Oh by the way: :)

Hi guys, i can't actually believe what i'm reading here ! I got my 'waiting list' letter today (IRC62979) and thought i'd google it to see if anyone else was in the same boat.....low and behold !

I'm so angry at the moment it's untrue ! I applied for my job in September, was interviewd in October, had the 'success' letter in November and was told yestreday (29th Jan, by email i might add) that I am on some stupid waiting list and will be contacted 'IF' an opportunity arises ! Hold on.... 'IF' ? What the hell happened to the job I applied for ?!?!?!

I've spent 2-3 hours reading a lot of the posts in this thread and find the way that the DWP are treating people completely unacceptable, immoral, and irresponsible ! Why advertise a bloody job if it doesn't actually exist !? Furthermore, the use of words like 'exercise' in their letters makes my blood boil ! What are we ? Some form of guinea pig in their stupid experiment !?!?! I have worked in various government departments since 2003 and never has anything like this occurred previously.

Unfortunately, I have been unemployed since June 2009 and claiming JSA, which they have now cut off as it's been 6 months ! What a joke ! God knows what happened to the NI i've paid for the last 7 years ! How the hell are these guys helping me back to work i ask ?!!

To top it all off, i spoke to someone in employee services about 2 weeks ago to ask how far they had got with my pre-recruitment checks. He advised me that everything was complete and that I would just need to wait for a start date. I asked would this be days, weeks, months ?? "I don't konw, you'll just have to wait" was his response ! No mention of lists or anything. I even turned down a job on his advice. I asked him if I accept an offer of another job, would i be able to work the notice period when the DWP job starts. He advised that when given a start date, i would have to start on that date !

I now don't have EITHER job, JSA, a penny in my pocket, or the will to live !

Thank you DWP, for nothing !

Reading your posts, you seem obsessed with putting others down like you're perfect?????

How sad. No, in fact, you sound like a vindictive loser.

Get bullied at school or something?

He's probably a relation, possibly step cousin 3 times removed, of that well known alleged troll Anihilator, who also puts the boot in when an OP is down and desperate and looking for some positive guidance.
  • Seriously - I wouldn't let this Apolonation person wind you up - best ignored.

The sort that gets his Mum to help with the masturbating...........36, living at home still, you know the sort................ ;)

Just leave him (her, or it) to spout their bile and let them get on with their merry day!

    It is thoroughly depressing.

The only consolation you/we can take is that none of us are on the boat on our own with this - thousands are in the same position.

I don't know about your current circumstances, but I really hope that you find work soon, the same for everyone else (and me!)

  • UPDATE:

    Friday I got an email!

    Dear ******
Please find attached important information in relation to your application for employment with DWP.
    Employee Shared Services

The "important information" was the same standard letter sent to others about still being on a waiing list. Having given up the ghost with these muppets, I couldn't resist replying:

    Dear Sir/Madam
(I'm not sure which as you monkeys all look the same)

I have decided to advise you to shove your waiting list, quite bluntly, where the sun does not shine. I have never had such misfortune to have both my time and intelligence wasted as the day I sat your assessments.

First, having received a telephone call; upon my arrival you were not expecting me according to your list of names. Then you did not understand the concept of somebody not having either a driving licence nor passport, which throughout the day I had to explain several times. Just for the record, I do not drive as a result of ownership of free rail travel (past employment rights kept under redundancy) and quite simply - the cost is not justified in my circumstances. No passport? Why would I have a passport when I am afraid of flying? For the record, a passport IS NOT an identity card, it is a document to allow travel. The sooner you muppets understand this concept, the better.

No wonder I passed both assessments with full marks, I guess that this has scared somebody within the DWP; the thought of employing somebody with an IQ higher than an ameoba must be truly terrifying. As somebody within your organisation has seen fit to waste tremendous sums of money on vacancies that did not actually exist, I feel that it would only now be apt for further sums to be wasted on clown suits as the new DWP uniform.

As you may have guessed, I no longer expect to get a position with the DWP.
Fog on The Tyne isn't mine all mine... but if I wanted it, I'd want it with a discount code.
