    That's optimistic.. LOL
Haha, I know but all other checks have been fully completed, the preferred location thing was the final step, and a few people here said it's usually about two or three weeks after that when they got the call, so was just wondering :D

Some of us are waiting on temporary roles created to cover the increased demand due to the recession.. but at this rate we will be past retirement age before they get their act together!

    Good luck though! :T
  • Well done lindalea

Theres hope for Myself, Whiskeyman and desperado2

Any idea of your position on the list?

Thanks buftymctufty! Sorry I don't know where I was on the list! Do you know where you are? Best of luck and hope you get the call soon. I called into the branch today and think someone else had had the call too from what they said. Which area are you hoping for?

    I got the call!!!!

    BUT

The lady wanted to check my availability. I told her I wanted part time hours (up to 30hrs) as per the advert. She said she will have to talk to the manager as they prefer full timers. She will get back to me....

I don't know how to feel. After such a long wait I might get turned down.

I received my CRB for another IRC today but I really want to start now.....

    How stressful!

Does anyone know how soon they may get back to me?

This would have been a lovely weekend.
Hey, I hope it's good news for you! What were your preferential jcp's?
  • Yup

Apparantly Preston (on the form) covers Preston, Leyland and Skem - I queried this when i called them up - Its not first choice but i would take it

    - I wonder if the fact that i am in a job which has to give 4 weeks notice will have hampered me?

Buftymctufty - when I went for an interview I said I was available immediately as I was temping! When the call came I was told I would have to start no later than 1 month. I put Skem as first choice and Preston second, didn't putt third!:o

    Hi All

I had an interview at Old Trafford yesterday for AO and am there again on Saturday for an EO interview. The person who interviewed me from Capita was extremely helpful in many respects. Did you know that the form that they are writing your responses on has a last page which is where they fill in your feedback. This is something that you can request and will tell you where you were strong and weak in the interview. If you ask for the feedback from the interview they will send it you and so you will know where you need to prepare yourself better for future interviews. Interesting why do they not tell us that ?

Can you ask for this even after you have got your placement?

    Hey thanks.

I ticked all the JCP boxes. I wonder if she will try to place me at another JC if the one she called about cannot accommodate me?

I tried getting hold of both her and the JC manager, turns out they went home early today. I am hoping the delay means something is being done.
I can do all things through him who gives me strength....:A

Yes you can. It is an entitlement apparently. It may help you in the future when you apply for other positions.

Good luck with this Thando, I had a similar problem!! I wanted to work part-time for the school holidays, and they have to check with the JC concerned and it is all dependant on the business needs, i.e. how many others are doing similar hours etc...I don't think you are asking for anything too drastic, and as long as you are flexible about when you can do your hours, hopefully you shoud be ok....It took me 3 days to get an answer!!

    Fingers crossed;)
  • Does anyone know what the EO position entails....I have no idea and Im starting on Monday...is it difficult???? Getting abit nervous now....
