    Hi Desperado

No there is no mention of that on anything you receive, only when you are in interview do they say you can refer to your notes. However I have had a few interviews now and I have not been asked the same question twice. Therefore notes would be useless but a list of the competencies and what is required would be useful as you can ensure that you cover all the requirements in your answer. One of my questions yesterday was Tell us about a time when you could not satisfy a customers needs and how you went about telling them. This is a turnabout of the question that I have had previously where they wanted to know about giving excellent customer service.

I realise you wont get the same question each time, but to have a list of your examples of each one in front of you means you can elect the best example without struggling to decide when the ask the question! lol

I could probably send my dog in and still pass!! (joking!)

It seems that way. There are so few jobs around at the moment unless you want to be a care worker or a teaching assistant. You have to go for ones where you feel you have a chance. I do feel that DWP do not discriminate on age etc. I am 57 and have 2 degrees, so when I apply for a job they look at my age and say no or look at my qualifications and say no because I am overqualified and they feel I only want them as a stopgap. I also apply for many other jobs but have to admit that most of them are Civil Service or Quango jobs as these appear to me to be safer than those in the private sector at the moment.

    Hi All

I had an interview at Old Trafford yesterday for AO and am there again on Saturday for an EO interview. The person who interviewed me from Capita was extremely helpful in many respects. Did you know that the form that they are writing your responses on has a last page which is where they fill in your feedback. This is something that you can request and will tell you where you were strong and weak in the interview. If you ask for the feedback from the interview they will send it you and so you will know where you need to prepare yourself better for future interviews. Interesting why do they not tell us that ?
    Hi whiskyman
Who would you request that from? :D Good Luck for Saturday!!

    I got the call!!!!

    BUT

The lady wanted to check my availability. I told her I wanted part time hours (up to 30hrs) as per the advert. She said she will have to talk to the manager as they prefer full timers. She will get back to me....

I don't know how to feel. After such a long wait I might get turned down.

I received my CRB for another IRC today but I really want to start now.....

    How stressful!

Does anyone know how soon they may get back to me?

This would have been a lovely weekend.
I can do all things through him who gives me strength....:A
  • Well done all those who have finally got the call.

It does seem that DWP are moving the goalposts slightly and changing certain things about the jobs people originally applied for - could be location or length of contract. Both of which have happened to me.

Not that I'm complaining as it's a good job to get and a foot in the door etc. I just can't wait to get started now.
