How is your training going thunderbolt? Are you enjoying it?

training is ok so far, the main benefit is for me to digest feedback from others that starte4d in the same group as me. I have started doing stuff on my own but I really dont know what Im doing half the time lol..

    Hi all,
Congratulations to everyone in finally getting `the call`last week, to those starting their training this week and to you guys who started jobs elsewhere, you know who you are.....in your orange uniform!

I applied for IRC 60076 Birmingham way back in May. Like us all I have tried to get any information I could with loads of emails and phone calls, but I never received the news that we all hoped for........... UNTIL TODAY!!!!!

The phone rings, it`s a withheld number, guy asks am I still interested in the position, then he not only gives me a choice of office, but also asks what date I want to start!
So after 6 months of waiting I end up getting my first choice of office and start Monday 30th.
    Hi Still hoping

Congratulations on your News! I've only been waiting since September myself, I am so pleased for you, it's a shame you have had to wait for 6 months though! Still, 10/10 for patience.

Can I ask is IRC 60076 Birmingham an EO or AO position?

and can I ask where you will be based?

I have applied for IRC 62504 EO Birmingham, received my successful letter and I'm still waiting lol.

    ATB and Well Done You!

Thanks everyone for your comments. I'll be sure to tell u how it goes.

The jobcentre I will be working at is really quite small so I should think all the training will be offsite. When I got the call they offered me to start either on the 23rd or the 30th. So i'm thinking that perhaps training will start on the 30th. Guess i'll find out tomorrow.
    Hi F.dennis

I hope your 1st day went well today, fingers xd 4 u.

  • Hi All, Congratulations to all who got the call well done:jI got the call yesterday myself but rather strange. Its not the job I applied for they say its still with the DWP but a different part of it and its only temp till March. I looked up the address on the web and I think it has to do with war pensions. Not that happy about it all really but its a job so Im thankful for that. They said I applied for a job centre plus job and they do not have any vaccancies (still grates me why they advertise in the first place) so they have passed the list on to them so I start on Monday at 9.30:confused:

Congrats to you still hoping. Cannot believe you have had to wait since May though. Very best of luck for your start date on 30th November. Keep in touch.

Congrats to all who have had the call. Can I just mention to remember you're posting on a public forum, people have been mentioning job centre's they're working in, the names of their line managers, I would be very unhappy if I stumbled across this forum and found my name. Not to mention 'security matters' and 'keeping safe' :o.
Really? i've not seen line managers names and to my knowledge there has only been a mention of keeping safe and security matters.... not how to!
