Congratulations to everyone in finally getting `the call`last week, to those starting their training this week and to you guys who started jobs elsewhere, you know who you are.....in your orange uniform!
I applied for IRC 60076 Birmingham way back in May. Like us all I have tried to get any information I could with loads of emails and phone calls, but I never received the news that we all hoped for........... UNTIL TODAY!!!!!
The phone rings, it`s a withheld number, guy asks am I still interested in the position, then he not only gives me a choice of office, but also asks what date I want to start!
So after 6 months of waiting I end up getting my first choice of office and start Monday 30th.
Congratulations Still hoping. Well done, hope all goes well.Dx

P.S. It isn't orange any more - black with paint company logos. Not much of an improvement, though, it has to be said...........:rotfl:0 -
Hi all, I had my first day today. I didn't do much as I can't begin training until I have my computer card, but all in all it was a nice gentle push back into work.
I am part of the Daso team - Diary Administrative support team. This team deals with scheduling and rescheduling appointments, such as the 13 week appointment, Income suppport review. It sounds pretty good and varied.
I was 1 in 3 people starting today at my branch with another starting in a fortnight which was nice. The morning was spent being shown around everywhere and introduced to people whose names I feel very sure I will never remember. After this we had a health and security talk - about what not to do etc.
Tomorrow I believe I am shadowing people.
Congrats on getting DASO, I really would have preferred to have got this rather than FJR.0 -

I just spoke (again) with Employee Services, apparently I have passed "all" checks, and been passed to the recruiting units.. this happened just over a week ago..
So does anyone have any idea how long between "passing of the list" and the magic phone call/letter/email??
I am due to sign on tomorrow, should I ask in person (my JCP is one of the ones I applied for)
I woldn't expect to get any answers from your sign on person as they probably won't know anything.0 -

Thanks, from what I saw today it looks pretty good. I don't have much experience in terms of contacting customers by phone so hopefully i'll gain a lot from it, and confidence as well.
Not much was said about training. They mentioned e-learning when we get our cards but they don't know the dates yet for when the big training days will be.
Hopefully i'll spend tomorrow shadowing people. I don't really know what else there is I can do until I am on RM and can start training.0 -
How is your training going thunderbolt? Are you enjoying it?0
