And the same to you heathertheblether! All the very best in your new job and thanks for all your input to the forum. DWP's loss is B and Q's gain!

This thread has been a godsend for me over the past few months. The advice and support I have received is amazing and now that I am about to start a new job, albeit a non-dwp one, I would like to thank everyone who has helped me, laughed with me, listened to my moans and congratulated me. In particular, I would like to send a big "thank you" to:-
Cap123, Cheekyweegit, Counterfeit, F.Dennis, Fivefootsix, Janabiyah-Jane, Jessbob, Mandie2106, MB Comper, Natomar, Sammyjammy, Search, Slitty, Sweeticklemunchkin, Thando, Thylacine, Thunderbolt, Unluckyone, Victoria plum and Whiskyman. I hope that all of you who have jobs continue to enjoy them and that all who are still waiting on "the call" hear very, very soon. :D

    :j"YOU CAN DO IT IF YOU B & Q IT" LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:j

  • Has anyone heard anything or been posted for IRC 62644, Northwest (Cheshire, Halton & Warrington)? I know a few have received a preference sheet via email - have you heard anything since..?

Sooo, let the day begin - will we hear anything, or will we be dissapointed again at 5pm?

    Hi Heather
it is us who should be thanking you for the entertainment and support you have given to everyone on the forum. It seems that most of the members of longstanding have now found jobs. I have only been waiting since August so perhaps I have a month or two of waiting yet.
Best of luck to all those starting in the near future.

  • I am so angry right now. I have just got a call saying they need to re-shuffle the allocation of jobs and that I now have to be posted somewhere else !! I was all set to work in one office in Cardiff working for the Nat Ins Team, now I've been told I'm working in a different office doing front line or admin booking !!

Can they do this ? I'm so p*ssed off right now.

Hi all, I've been lurking for a couple of days.

I applied for IRC62404 AO West Midlands. I had the interview on 15th September (roughly) and I got my sucess letter on the 8th October. So just waiting for the checks to go through. The letter didn't say anything about a waiting list so I presume I'm on the merit list. So like a lot of peeps on here I'm playing the waiting game lol

Very well done to you all who have started work/have had a start date
I'm the same. I have had my CRB check back have you. I called though and they said there is a freeze on recruitment and they would be contacting people from the end of November. They can tell you what number you are on the list as well. Dont really know what that relates to though. Hope you hear soon.

I'm sorry, I know how excited you were. I would imagine its a case of someone jumped in and offered jobs before a senior manager had ok'd things.

As for can they do it? Thats up to you as to whether you play the game. You could try speaking to someone more senior, do I recall that you originally applied for somewhere other than Cardiff? Is that where they are now saying you will go?
