Try not to be too downhearted, everyone.

I don't mean to rain on your parade and I hope you do get a call but the people in Newcastle have no right to tell you that, they've been giving conflicting information out to people all over.

I'm sure they have passed your information on to the relevant Jobcentre/District but it doesn't necessarily mean you'll get a job offer.

Fingers crossed.

The only person worth listening to is Louise Perry. If she hasn't given you information I would take any info you do get with a pinch of salt.

This thread has been a godsend for me over the past few months. The advice and support I have received is amazing and now that I am about to start a new job, albeit a non-dwp one, I would like to thank everyone who has helped me, laughed with me, listened to my moans and congratulated me. In particular, I would like to send a big "thank you" to:-
Cap123, Cheekyweegit, Counterfeit, F.Dennis, Fivefootsix, Janabiyah-Jane, Jessbob, Mandie2106, MB Comper, Natomar, Sammyjammy, Search, Slitty, Sweeticklemunchkin, Thando, Thylacine, Thunderbolt, Unluckyone, Victoria plum and Whiskyman. I hope that all of you who have jobs continue to enjoy them and that all who are still waiting on "the call" hear very, very soon. :D

:j"YOU CAN DO IT IF YOU B & Q IT" LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:j
heathertheblether, Good Luck in your new role @ B & Q. Just think of the wear and tear you will save on your wardrobe by wearing you new orange uniform.

Thanks to you and all the others on the forum. I ensure that I browse nearly everyday now, just to see what everyone is up to and whether they have had the call or not. I think without the forum I would have gone mad slow but sure with the wretched recruitment process the DWP operate.

I too have been for a non DWP interview today for a large international IT Company as a buyer. Interview went really well, not sure if my disability is gonna affect their decision though, I do like to be upfront and honest though. However, they told me they would contact me by Friday 20th Nov, so fingers crossed, plus the pay is superb compared to the EO job I applied for. So I'm glad that I am still 68/125 (IRC 62504 EO) on the DWP merit list otherwise I wouldn't still be looking for work and would not have had the opportunity of applying for this role.

Thanks guys and gals - I've just sent a quick email to Louise Perry to find out the crack, as it were.

Well, I got the call! But I missed it! It came at half 6 so never really expected it but I was working at the time anyway.

I have to ring back tomorrow so will know more then.

Hi folks

Is there a direct email address to contact the DWP in regards of vacancy queries, or is it telephone only?
Thank you.;)

Good luck to all.

• To all those out there in Essex who are awaiting 'the call', I can report that mine came yesterday morning, 'out of the blue' as it were. So after weeks and weeks of following this forum after my interview back in August, I finally start at Southend JCP on 30th November!!

So there is hope after all...:beer and skittles!!!

Hi Di
try this RESOURCING.CUSTOMERSERVICES@DWP.GSI.GOV.UK they usually reply the same day or next. however I am still awaiting a reply from one that I sent on 11th and then again on the 12th.

Hi Rockingdad
Congratulations. How long have you been waiting? At least you are in before Christmas. Well done.
