  • gross misconduct for things like leaving information lying around on desk, accessing data of people when there is no apparent business need etc.

There are 3 roles at AO level, FJR, Financial assessor and DASO. I would like to be in DASO team.

Yeah....mine is FJR and am not looking forward to it cos of the incidence that happened today.

    what incident happened today?
  • Hi everyone
Am new to this so please bear with me. I had my interview for IRC 58752 East Midlands in April and success letter dated 11th May. I FINALLY got the call last week to start at Derby Jobcentre on 23rd November. Wohoo! It wasn't even in my top 3 locations and will involve a half hour train journey each way, but I was jiggered if I was going to turn it down!!
I had totally lost faith that I would ever get placed but now it has finally happened I am ecstatic.
Good luck to all thpse waiting and don't give up like I almost did!!

I've just had a call out of the blue - saying that I've been successful at application stage for an AO position working for the DWP in Lybster, Caithness, North Scotland and that they want me to attend an interview up there!

I don't remember applying for the job up there (that could be my fault - I can't find the email I applied with, but Ive applied for that many things these last months......) and have just had my Disclosure Scotland CRB certification through literally today for an EO position in Shropshire I've been successful in (letter received Oct 8th and now on Merit List), so I'm a bit confused.

Has this happened to anyone else? I'm going to go for it - I'm currently unemployed and it sounds exciting - plus I'm desperate!

Any help or advice, people? Is this familiar?

Seven months is an awfully long wait but thank goodness you have had good news at last! All the best for 23rd Nov. :D

i've been for 2 interviews with dwp. i went for the position as a crisis loan decision maker and passed the online test, went for the interview but havent heard anything and that was back in july!! when i rang last month to chase they said they hadnt made any decisions yet although manpower (who did the interviews) said the people who hadnt got the job had heard so i guess thats good news!
the other interview i had was for an admin job and i didnt get that one.
    i hate waiting
luckily i'm temping somewhere at the minute so def not complaining just hate expecting the next day to be told i'm not needed anymore.

That's the thing - I went for EO in SHrops and have been successful, pending. I don't remember applying for AO in North Scotland, but if they want people up there and it's all they've got left then......well, what do I do? Could it be a mistake?

I'm based in Stoke-On-Trent, but the family are Scots and I've got family in Scotland - Barrhead (Glasgow), Kilmarnock and also Saltcoats (Ayrshire) - all West Coast Scotland mind you.

It's the only prospective interview I've got lined up - I'm just waiting for the confirmation email to come through.

Has it happened to you? What are your honest thoughts - is this a mistake on their behalf?
