Well I am made up now then and really looking forward to starting after reading that. I was hoping that I would eventually get into the fraud side of the business so this could be the ideal starting point. :T
I hope it is the job I think it is, don't get to excited, I have been known to be wrong! (well I think it happened once )

  • Hi
Great news for those receiving the call, congratulations and the best of luck!

I know I have asked before, but just wondering if anyone knows of any info on IRC60076 Birmingham, goes back to June interview.
I have emailed and they say they understand they are still recruiting for this IRC, but there is never any news, and this is going back a bit now.

lol, no worries. My Brother said pretty much the same as you though ;-). If it is then great, if not it's cool as it's a job and a foot in the door.
  • Hi all,

Congrats to all that have had the call.

Quick question, one of my references has just asked me about a question on the form :

Has the applicant worked for other employers? Please give details

    Anyone got any clues?

    It follows the question

Has the applicant ever worked for you?

Does my referee need to list all my previous jobs? We are a bit confused lol But soooo pleased that the references have requested.

    Many thanks,

    Sheila
  • My referees just put down the jobs they knew of. So for instance, 1 has known me for 4 years so she listed all the jobs within that 4 year period.

I got the call the day after they sent the references back :)

Thanks. Thats what I thought. 1 ref has known me 4 years, the other ref 12 years - same job for the last 12 years - so I guess they both would say that. I was hoping they would not have to list them all, just the ones they know about.

Hope I get the call the day after as well :j

  • Good luck Sheila - let me know how you do x
  • I asked local job centre if they had any vacancies coming up and was told they didn't know but sent my email to the district recruitment office who would contact me. The woman there consequently emailed me to say I was on the waiting list still and there were no vacancies in my area but if and when there were they would be given to people in merit order.
After this I asked where I was on the list and another lady emailed me to say the previous woman (district recruitment manager) was away but she would not provide details of where I was on the list as it has no bearing on how long it would be before they could offer me a post. The list covers both Devon and Cornwall and "in the process of waiting, many people find alternative employment and when approached, decline any offer. This means for example, if someone was 10th on a list, it may be that they would have to wait until 10 opportunities were available before they were successful, whilst on another occasion the 9 people above them no longer wanted the job".
So I feel as though I have had my hand rapped - I suppose the way she explained it made sense but would have been nice to know where I am.
One thing its done for me though is made me look elsewhere!
