ust wondering if there is anybody out there like myself who attended the interviews held in Ashford towards the end of February ?
How many people who didn't do as well as me in the tests and interview have been employed in my area because of this screw-up? If I don't hear anything about the AO role come July I'm seriously considering making an official complaint.0 -
Yup - for the AO post, and had another interview for an EO role in Ashford in April. Haven't heard a thing about the EO job and someone somewhere has managed to lose my address confirmation details for the AO disclosure tingum. So don't hold your breath.

That is taking the p**** as you still have not heard nothing. I would complain0 -
My CRB finally turned up today as I filled in two of them and I asked Newcastle to forward the other one last week as the original one went missing when disclosure Scotland returned it as I hadn't ticked if I had an alias or not.
Needless to say i've forwarded it by recorded delivery. Touch wood this doesn't get lost and a position is available for me.
I received my crb and sent it back recorded delivery.Five days later i called to check if it was received by Newcastle and they told me they cant give me such information.0 -

I'll just use the tracking number that the post office give you to make sure mine has been received as phoning them just adds to the stress and annoyance for me.0 -
Did anyone go for an interview in Warrington in February?
Have you heard anything yet?0 -
Its now been 10 weeks since I received my successful letter for an AO post with DWP, no mention of waiting lists. I haven't heard a thing from them since. I managed to find out from them via phonecall that my checks were all cleared on the 28th March so I know theres no problem there. I can't find out where I stand as whenever I try to phone them it just rings with no answer. It really is beyond ridiculous. Has anyone else waited as long or longer for a start date with DWP?0

Hi Amy you have my sympathy, I have now been waiting only 8 weeks but had to fax over my CRB cert twice as they have mislaid the original!. I called the recruitment line on Friday and have been advised that my case has been passed on to a business unit and I would be contacted this week - no call as yet! I can answer your query in respect of the type of letter you received as i was advised that two types of successful letter were issued. One letter advises that you are sucerssful and will be put on to a waiting list, the other letter states that you have been sucessful and pending further checks will be offerred a position, start date. I was advised that it is this latter of the two letters which is sent out to those who scored highest at the selection as they are trying where possible to place these first. Im sure there are examples contrary to this within this thread but I was advised this by one the managers at Newcastle!
Hope this helps0 -
Thanks alot for that Barney, it was indeed the latter of the 2 letters I received. I noticed in one of your previous posts that you were having trouble contacting them and that was with the tel number I have been trying. Did you manage to get through to them on that number afterall or did you use a different one? Like you I have applied for a post in Kent, Ramsgate/Canterbury area. Seems like recruitment in Kent is particulary long winded!
Hope you hear where you stand soon.0
