 Can understand what you mean then. Not what I'd have had in mind either. I'd have thought this would have been done from the call centres, unless they're based there? I'd have to take what I'm given though!0 -

thanks Heather, its quite ironic too as its the day b4 my daughters bday, but at least im in a position to be able to say no and possibly give a chance to some1 who might not of had it0 -

I was told a weeks notice as it is a temp job, but now they are saying that it is a week from the Saturday...I really wanted to have a few days off before starting my new job....grrr..
Sorry I shouldn't be annoyed about that, I am in a very lucky position and just hope that everyone gets good news soon....x

Thats a bit rotten of your temp job to be awkward. Still, rise above it and think of what is to come! I would be annoyed as well, though. A few days to gather yourself and prepare is invaluable, especially when you have kids. I never mind driving anywhere either - lets you clear your head before you start/get home. Good luck and ENJOY0 -

I know someone from my volunteer work who works as a EO for the EET. It's pretty bearable he says but I wouldn't know. When I asked what he does, he briefly mentioned that he contacts a whole host of potential employers look for people to hire for their workforce and support them through the process of recruiting customers from the JCP. Also making sure that the right people get put forward so they can build good working relations. Perhaps sammy can elaborate! XD0 -

I am waiting for IRC 60370 and hoping for the brighton office. I was told I was 24 on merit list two months ago, then a month ago I went down to 33, then last friday I rang up and was told I was 34.
Due to the obvious confusion I emailed Newcastle on Friday to clarify. I have received an email response this evening which stated that I am joint 28th on the merit list along with 5 other persons as we all scored the same on the interview.
They initially wanted to fill 45 vacancies, I am not sure how many have been posted but the IRC was for several offices in Sussex.
By the way, congrats to all those today who have gotten the call - things seem to be picking up!0 -

I think you have made the right decision, from what you have said. The position sounds deadly boring - would be more interesting watching paint dry. Better off with what you have!!!!!!!!:D0
