My own situation is this, I got the sucess letter on the 27th August telling me I had got the job subject to refs and a CRB check, I have since done a medical over the phone and they told me to call in a week or so if not heard anything, I called on friday but could not get through to Newcastle on two different numbers and same again yesterday (Monday), just engaged or disconnects after ringing, just emailed that address within this thread hoping for some clarity.

What I don't understand is the merit lists so any clarity on those would be great, are these for people who have already had the success letter? just a friend of mine was told she was on the waiting list but never got the success letter, just want to know where I am at, any info greatly appreciated ;) I am in Lincolnshire if that helps, IRC61302 was the ref I believe , Thanks :D

CONGRATS!! I'm glad the wait is finally over for you!:j

Were you on a waiting list at all?

Yes I was on the waiting list, never new my position on the list though as I never had a response concerning this. Now that the freeze seems to be over the Newcastle personnel are all extremely helpful. Once again good luck to all waiting I hope it is not to long.

    Irc61462
Does anyone know anything regarding IRC61462 held in Bridgend Rugby Club by Manpower. I have had my literacy/numeracy tests passed those, interview the following day, got a a successful letter with NO waiting list and about three weeks ago received my CRB check from the DWP then nothing.

Any help would be much appreciated
I am in the same boat as you; passed interview and tests, received my CRB and have heard nothing at all since. Keep trying to call Newcastle but I either get the engaged tone or no reply.... it feels like the phone is ringing in an empty room.

Hopefully we'll both hear soon (?)...chin up :D

Fingers crossed, anyone else been or in this situation with regard to an HEO role?

    Hi Grantyy
Yes same questions here for interviews, all scenarios.

Can't comment on merit list as i have been told there is no list, which is quite bizzarre, but also having no success letter either is very odd wouldnt you say? All i have had since July is 2 phone calls, one to say congrats you got the job and the 2nd to say they will call me soon for training, well i'm still waiting, tut. :o

well thats my 1st day done and i can honestly say there are a bunch of nutters lol, every1 made me feel very welcome and even the sales ppl came over to welcome me, the office is very very relaxed, they use msn to talk to 1 another and when not busy use ebay and face book etc, there is no pressure, no irate ppl on phone just confused school admin staff lol, well the feeling i get is that im gonna love it there, my boss is bonkers its her bday tomo (42) but i swear shes going on 8 just like me lol, the only problem is now, if i do ever get the call from DWP unless its my perfect location etc i wudnt know what to do, but im not worrying about it until if/when it actually happens, hope every1 elses day went well xx
Sounds like the perfect job, bet you get birthday cake today as well. Good for you :j

I think I got the same email as you mine said "As you met the minimum standard, I am pleased to be able to offer you a place on our waiting list. The waiting list will last for 6 Months from the date of this letter. We would hope to be able to progress you to interview during this time, though I cannot guarantee this."

    Good luck though.
