Thought I would give you all a giggle! I had to sign on this week and while I was there, my Advisor handed me an Application Form to complete for a job that he thought would suit me. It had spaces at the top for him to fill out on my behalf for the job number and the position, JC+ official stamps, etc. In the "position" box he put "Adminastrative Oficer". Cripes!

lol he spelt it like that? shouldn't he be an EO if he was signing you on? :P

Yeah, thats exactly how he spelt it! :D He is only a young chap and new to the job, but that shouldn't matter. So if I hand the form in, it looks like I am illiterate - where's the liquid paper?:rotfl:
  • anyone know what the 'merit list' is based upon?

  • Hi all, I've been lurking for a couple of days.

I applied for IRC62404 AO West Midlands. I had the interview on 15th September (roughly) and I got my sucess letter on the 8th October. So just waiting for the checks to go through. The letter didn't say anything about a waiting list so I presume I'm on the merit list. So like a lot of peeps on here I'm playing the waiting game lol

Very well done to you all who have started work/have had a start date

Yes, you would have thought so, eh?!!!!!!!!!!! Like I said, he is very young (my 16 yr old daughter looks older) so his test can't have been THAT long ago. There's hope for us all yet lol! :rotfl:

Well done to you too!! If I could send a drink to everyone to say thanks for their help and support on this and to say congratulations, I would, but you'll just have to settle for this:  :j:T

I wont be settled at all. My start date is 2nd Nov too. WOOHOO. Do you have to go to dunfermline for the first day to an induction event?? Then start at leven the next day? Thats what they have me doing xx Yeah im having to borrow too til get all stuff sorted out money wise, bit of a pain lol xx Oh its good to have someone from here starting in the same office on the same day, least i'll kind of know someone haha xx

Bill's sending stuff through via email and post to me, so should have more details about it by tomorrow.

He was really good. Also got a voicemail from Mary from the same office in Dunfermline re my AO application. She was offering me a job too. lol. She promptly left a second voicemail saying to ignore the first message as she'd just been informed I'd accepted the offer of the EO.

    Honestly, they're like buses!!!!!

I hope we have to wear name badges. I'll put Victoria Plum on mine so you know who I am. lol! x
