DWP do not always contact your referances, they contact HMRC to check that you were employed by who you said you where.

I have been told my refs are complet, and still waiting.

I too have had a missed call and No number left, better stop in all day tomorrow.

  • Hi
Can someone help me? Have got a success letter for the EO interview I attended a week ago, but immediately after that they have advertised for a location which is probaly more convenient. Can I ask to be considered for the second location? Whom should I speak to?
    Any suggestions.....thanks :)
  • I got "the call" today for post 60540, the lady I spoke to said it was fixed term, but i'm sure the original advert said permanent, I was so excited though I didn't query it lol! Can anyone confirm this?
Really want the job, but i'm concerned about being back on the wrong side of the desk in 18 months! Especially when i've started a new job today that is permanent, albeit pants, but its permanent.......

Congratulations, I'm waiting for 'THE CALL' for this ref, did you find out what position on the merit list you were before getting the call? No, I remember the advert as 18 months fixed term.Which Location have you been offered, and did you get to chose?

Thanks for the confirmation, she told me I was number 50, offered me Wakefield which is the nearest to me and I accepted. I wasn't given another choice, but its the best location for me anyway....
Hope you get "the call" soon!

Woo! I have a start date for IRC60540 (EO position in West Yorkshire) I start on the 28th September at Southern House in Leeds. Anyone else joining me?

Congratulations!!! I also applied for this Ref# still waiting on the CRB checks though .
I took the online test on 15th June
    Interview on 6th July
    Success letter on 12 August
Original phone call on 28th August (but I missed it!)
    Finally placed today!

By the time I start on the 28th Sept it will have taken about three and a half months. Not the fastest turnaround time in the world, but it's still faster than the original AO job I was offered (Applied in March, was due to start at the end of August but because I got the EO job I was told not to bother)

So happy! After a year out of work I'm going to have money again soon! No more being a hermit!

I have the same frame as you, I was interviewed on 6th July and received the success letter on 12th August, just wondering when you received your CRB cert, and get to chose location?

Thanks BB, I was number 45 on the list so hopefully I'll receive the call soon! I haven't had a missed call today like lots of others seem to have!? When did you receive your CRB cert? It appears to be this that is holding my application up! Will give them a ring in the morning.

I got my CRB checks for this post before my success letter, which also came the same date as yours
