Did anybody who attended the interview at the Foresight Centre in Liverpool, ref. IRC61099, get a rejection letter quoting the wrong reference no. of IRC61417? I got one such letter today and have had to query it! The wrong reference number related to Contact Centre vacancies in Scotland, and here is the link: http://www.dwp.gov.uk/about-dwp/working-for-dwp/current-vacancies/irc61417.shtml
It was a good job I checked the reference number, otherwise I would have just assumed that this ref. no. IRC61417 related to my Liverpool interview!
So has anybody else received the wrong reference numbers?for anyone waiting on the 60862 AO position in Newport BDC, they sent the letters out today so hopefully we should knw tomorrow or monday0 -
[Is anybody receiving unsuccessful letters with wrong job ref no.s on? I got one this morning, but the vacancy ref. no relates to a SCOTTISH AO post, and not the Liverpool AO post I was interviewed for. I ask you!

Hi all!!!
Received my results from the interview this morning. Successful, no waiting list. I understand that means good news.
I also received my disclosure Scotland in a separate envelope.
I then called the number on my letter. Good news all:
1. There is no merit list if you receive a successful later with no waiting list because they have allocated jobs ( depending on checks).
2. Start dates should be 8 September so wait for a call.
3. THE BEST NEWS!!!! There are 100 posts to be filled and we all know there were less than that number of people at interviews (I think)!
I hope we all get in....
After the 60076 waiting list I felt so low but now .....:D
I can do all things through him who gives me strength....:A0 -

There's myself and Trevormax (there may be more) who interviewed in Cardiff but we went for the AO IRC 60862 positions. I interviewd on the 28th at the CIA.
I've had some medical history so just had a telephone assesment re my condition etc. They now want me to see a Occupational Practicioner next week to see if I need any work based assistence ie desktop/chair etc. The lady was talking as if I had the job, although I've yet to get confirmation. I'm taking it as a good sign and remaining positive.
Well done for getting the letter though. If I was you I'd ring up the number on your letter to see what position you are on list - many on here seem to have done that. Did you apply for the AO position too ?
Hi there! Yeah that definately sounds positive! Great stuff.
No I didnt go for the AO role as well. Just EO.
I see that the waiting list letter is some parts of the country means you didnt do as well as people who get a straight forward offer letter. I wonder if that applies to my role. Oh well, yeah I think I will call the number on Monday and see what sort of role it is, how many positions and where I am on the list. It would just be handy to know if Ill be waiting weeks or months to be placed. I did call yesterday and she said that Cardiff have a lot of roles and they urgently need them filled so are trying to speed up the CRB process. Also that they will take large groups on at once and train them up together so that sounded positive.
Good luck to everyone waiting and well done to everyone thats heard!! xx0 -
I got a letter this morning saying, i've been succesful and they are now doing pre-recruitment checks, and they may check hmrc to verify employment history?
Is this standard practice and does it mean i am moving up the list???
(Got disc scot thru beginning of week)
I applied for 2 postions originally, AO and first contact officer. The message left on my answer machine inviting me to interiew was for AO position. I went to interview and only at the end of interview was it made clear it was for the contact officer position
not that I mind.
Are these two completely separate intakes or could I be offered a AO post??0 -
What is the difference between a Customer Services Officer and an AO?I can do all things through him who gives me strength....:A0

Hi,
I attended my interview for IRC61099 on 22nd July. I got my letter saying I had been successful and that they were in process of checks.
What I wondered was about location. When the job was advertised it stated Cheshire and Merseyside (which is obviously a very large area). It would be Cheshire I would be interested in but thus far I haven't had any opportunity to list possible locations. Is this the norm? I mentioned it at interview but they said they didn't deal with that and I also called Newcastle who said they would discuss it if I was offered a post.
I'm worried about receiving a call at some point in the future just saying here is your location and start date...and it being a location too far away! Does anyone have any experience with this.
Also, I wondered if anyone else was looking for part-time. Again I mentioned this but there seemed to be no opportunity for availability to be noted. Again, scared that if they do call me they won't offer part-time. They said at interview they had lots of part-time workers, but there wasn't a place to note that was my interest.
Thanks very much.0
