    Ok cheers for that!

1 last q....Do I need to send forms of ID as well (utility bill, bank statement) AND my P60/P45'S/Certificates??

It says I need to send P60/P45'S/Certificates on a separate sheet but what about forms of ID? that says in the booklet??

What do I send? and How long did your crb check take to come back?
  • Well finally got the phone call this morning after 3 months. 4 weeks after being told I was successful. This was for a permanent position as AO within JCP. But was informed on the telephone that it is now going to be on a 18 month fixed term contract, Iam grateful for a job but at the same time feel a tad !!!!ed off having gone through all the rigmarole under the impression of being offered a permanent position that they move the goalposts and offer a fixed term. The job is based at cobalt park in Newcastle. Anyone else had any experience of this.

Re these phone calls, do they tend to ring mobiles or landlines?

  • Just an update.

Rang the helpful people at Newcastle today. Was told that you are only put on a waiting list when all the positions are filled. So if you are successful but others score higher than you, they will take preferance as long as background checks are A-ok!

I have been told I am successful, but haven't been informed about a waiting list yet, probab;y becase all the background checks haven't been completed.

Also, if your CRB comes back to you in a brown envelope, that means the DWP have seen it!

    Cheers

I've already got a copy of a Basic Disclosure from the 'Disclosure Scotland' website - I paid around £20 to have a check done back in January. If I'm successful in my application can I use this same form or would I be forced to fill out another application?

Obviously my preference would be to use the existing one as, by the sounds of it, a lot of time would be saved.

    Hey Joe,

Miscommunication there. My letter told me i was successful and did not mention a waiting list but after a recent call to Newcastle they informed me that everyone goes on a waiting list in the manner i previously stated.

I was told that people are put on a waiting list pending checks. When all checks are complete, people who recieve letters telling them that they are on a waiting list are those where there are no positions currently available.Does this make sense? So in theory, everyone is indeed on a waiting list, but you shouldn't receive a letter stating that you are on a waiting list unless all your checks have come back ok, but there are currently no positions for you.I was told that I will not be informed that I am on a waiting list unless all the positions are filled before they get to me.

This can't be true as I've had a successful letter saying I'm on a waiting list and none of my checks have been done yet!!!

I get the impression that they seem to send out a letter with whatever template they can get their hands on first.
