    Hi every1,
I have had the interview and been sent a letter sayin I have been successful. This was last month, recently got a phone call saying they cant get hold of my referees. So i sorted that out las friday.
After they get the references, is there any more checks they gotta complete? I really want this job but I dont wanna wait too long as I have been offered another job with the start date being on 27th. DWP is really taking 2 long, i have been trying to ring them but no reply. It is really stressin me out.
    HELP!!!
I applied for the IRC 60227. Any1 applied for this one and heard anything???
I have applied for the same, and personal referee(s) been contacted and received Disclosure Scotland notice. In which district were you interviewed and or which district are you hoping to be working in.
  • Hi, I have an interview tomorrow for an AO job, I was just wondering what to expect? I have worked at the revenue before but never had an interview for the last job.

    Thanks

Expect to be asked 4 questions based on the 4 competencies that were in the job advert, 1 for each competency.

e.g. tell me a time where you have given good customer service.

If you don't go into detail, they will probe you for more information.

Remember they want to know what you did, so always say "I" and not "we" in your answers.

    Hope this helps

    hi mpatel86
i also applied irc60277 west london district, i don't know if they have contacted refs or not yet. giving them time will be calling in the next couple of weeks. if you have an offer of a job and it is good i would take it, god knows how long dwp are going to take. i am still applying for other jobs, as dont hold out too much hope of getting a start date anytime soon. from looking at timelines of other posters average is around 3 to 4 months from application. good luck. if you cant get hold of them via phone try email another poster said if you use the format, first name.last name@dwp.gsi.gov.uk. give it try.

Hi, I have an interview tomorrow for an AO job, I was just wondering what to expect?

It's quite simple and if you know how the system works you should be able to answer any competancy based question without practice.

Do a google for "competency based interview techniques" and "star system". The STAR system is a good way of working these interviews.
