Have just received THE CALL. Have to give 4 weeks notice so start on 10th August in JC+. Does anyone know about the training etc i.e. how long and what is covered?
Can't really believe it after all this time!!!!!!!
I only hope more of you get the call today. Best of Luck.
Juliet, Congratulations!! that is such excellent News! I'm so happy for you to finally have answers!
In other news, I have received a reply to my email to the checker this morning with apologies in the delay of getting back to me.. He hasn't given me contact details but has re-told me the standard procedure and informed me that the lady who was dealing with my case has left so he will now get onto her former line manager and find out the progress of my application for me
I guess emails may work as they cut out the middle-man and phone calls.. again thank you Landslide_Victory for the email information.. I think it may be paying off!0 -

Hello all,
Just thought I would add myself to this thread, just got my successful letter this morning :j
It's for a new benefit delivery centre in Walsall. In the interview they said they are taking on 400 new people, so I am feeling quite hopeful about this
How do you find out where you are on the waiting list, do you have to call someone? Can you find out your score? Sorry if this has already been answered before, but this thread is way too long to read it all!
Oh, and congratulations/ good luck to everyone else!0 -

Congratulations :j and wish you the best, did they tell you what hours you have to work and was the office/location you are going to work in your choice?0 -
Hello all
has anyone requested to work part time hours or is working part time as a EO and if so when is the best time to agree/arrange the working patterns/hours? I am dead worried because the only way I can work is between school hours due to childcare issues. I welcome any information
Hi
In the vacancy advert did it state that part time hrs would be considered? If so, you may not have a problem with getting part time hrs, but they will probably require you to attend full time during training.
I do not have a wealth of knowledge regarding getting the hrs you want, as i too am worried about this and how i will make it all work with the childcare that i do have in place. I've been told that hrs are not discussed and agreed until your first day. I got 'the call' yesterday and tried to talk about hrs with the caller, but she too told me i need to bring this up with my manager on my 1st day.One day I will be a [STRIKE]respectable[/STRIKE] Civil Servant.Until then, I will be a secret MSE poster :shhh:0 -

Hey Ferien,
If I remember correctly you also had an interview at Baskerville House (from a different thread). How long after the interview did you get this successful letter? I'm still waiting to hear about my interview, i assume you are too from that post?0 -
Congratulations :j and wish you the best, did they tell you what hours you have to work and was the office/location you are going to work in your choice?
Hi
It was only a phone call to agree a start date and hours were not discussed. I am in the fortunate position that it does not matter to me what hours I work. I was 7th on the success list so I got my choice of office.
I'm still so excited can't think straight yet.
One thing though, on a somewhat humurous note I have to find out what the 'uniform is' and where to get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0
