Recap. EO Successful no waiting list letter dated 26 April. Informed this week we are now on waiting list and might not even get offered a post!!!!! Today on the DWP site they are advertising for EOs in Norwich and Great Yarmouth!!!!!! By the way both are for jobs in Job Centres!!!!Landslide_Victory wrote: »Hi Julie
This must be so frustrating for you!! After all you've been through to now see the jobs advertised again - you must be  . I'm sure you're already on the phone to Newcastle to see what's going on. Surely this must mean that they're ready to give you a position. Fingers crossed.
Keep us all posted.
Hi Julie
Have you not phoned up Newcastle yet to ask them what the fook is going on - but in a nice way.0 -

If anyone on the thread is frustrated at waiting, I'd say just try to be patient. It's not just about people. Offices are having to be totally re-designed in places to accommodate bums on seats, etc. Our office is getting 37 new staff, but only about 5 have actually started so far. It's not happening as quickly as envisioned.
Hi mvengemvenge
I realise this is an oldish post but I wondered if the 37 new staff your office were taking on were all EO posts? I'm trying to work out how many EO's my region (Greater Manchester) might be taking on. Also is your office in a large conurbation?0 -

Well finally after all my moaning and fretting I got a phone call today.
Im not starting till 7th September which isn't great but I don't really have a choice because of the notice I have to give my current employer and im going on holiday in August.
Still im not complaining, glad the wait is finally over!
Im sure this means a lot of you will be nearing the end too.

I'm puzzled
How come you got your success letter before you had even taken your tests and why did you have a role play instead of interview? I see from your previous posts that your job is for an EO position.
Just wondering!
sorry it was atyping error.. the success letter come after the role play. this was for a AO posiiton at the contact centre.
the EO post related to a EO position i have applied for. sorry for the confusion)

I first applied for an EO position back in March, passed the tests and then interview was passed about 6 weeks ago had a success letter and was told I had the job subject to checks passing.
Waited for what seemed like ages, due to head office taking their time, chased regularly - which helped as at one point the HO had overlooked something in my checks which was slowing things down.
Finally got the all clear today and am starting next week!
Picked some good info up on the forum along the way, some good interview advice and also a sense of perspective as I could see many others waiting which helped reassure me my case wasn't the exception.
Delighted to finally be starting, and looking forward to it.
To anyone still waiting - think how far you've already come, just be patient and chase up HO every couple of weeks to make sure they haven't forgot you is my advice!
Good luck :jwhinge intr.v. whinged, whing·ing, whing·es Chiefly British To complain or protest, especially in an annoying or persistent manner.0 -
did my interview in dundee today, i think it went okay but you never know with these things. i asked how soon i'll know my results and they said anywhere between 2 - 4 weeks! guess i'm back to doing other applications to be on the safe side0
