Did you receive this from Disclosures Scotland or from DWP? if its from DWP then they would have a copy...the original has been sent for your records....but if you have given your address to Disclosure Scotland to receive the certificate...then you should scan/fax or post a copy to the recruiting officer at DWP...they wont progress your recruitment further till they have a copy of your CRB
Would anyone have the address I need to send it to?? Many thanks.Debt free = December 2010...as of March 2006 it is now January 2010..... as of December 2008 it is now December 2009 :j hopefully sooner!!:jDEBT FREE:j January 2012, took longer but I got there, all by myself, through sheer hard work and pride!0 -

Do you have any correspondence you have received in the past from DWP? perhaps your test & interview info or results.....you will find the address on these letters....also the recruiting officer's name.....quote your IRC number on your covering letter....0 -
Hey! Have been reading this thread and am bit confused. I got a letter today from DWP with all the CRB check stuff. Letter said " You were successful on IRC55702 and were placed on a waiting list you are now bein passed for pre recruitment checks"
then
"once these are complete to confirm whether or not we are able to offer you a post."
Does this mean i have come to the top of the list and they are going to offer me a job if my checks are fine? If so how long should i expect to wait?
Thanks0 -
hi,
don't know if it will help anyone, but i received my crb forms etc yeat, and the letter to ask my references to hurry up once they are contacted.
i called and asked had i been moved up the queue as i was very low down, they told me that they have been told to get everyone's pre employment checks done on the list i was on.... so that sounds like good news, i hope it bodes well for me anyway!!:oPlease be nice to all moneysavers!

Hello there, I've just registered here. I have to say this thread has been very helpful thanks to all, as I thought I was going mad on my own with my application for an EO position with the DWP!
I was successful at interview stage last month (although no-one told me, I had to call about 4 weeks after to ask for this information and I had the same scenario after my tests) But I have been informed I am on a waiting list, after reading some of the posts here I am going to call them to see how many 100s of people are on the waiting list with me (In London North and East)! I am desperate for a job as was made redundant in December and was really hopeful with this one, now I'm just frustrated!
But it got more frustrating last week as I noticed on the DWP website that there were identical EO vacancies in my chosen area, but at 18 month fixed-term contracts instead of permanent, so I called to see if I could be moved across to one of these jobs which would do me fine. The answer was a resounding no-you have to apply for that job separately, which I now have done-that is crazy if you've already been accepted for the same role! I'm really wondering what I may be letting myself in for here....0 -
To be fair to the DWP this is all mentioned in their advertisements for the job positions. They are hampered by namby pamby regulations on equal oppurtunities employment. Disabled applicants guaranteed interview anyone? Lucky for most people they do have to advertise the jobs in the first place as they would otherwise just promote from within and why not?0

Well I am in the unhappy position of having been sent a success letter last Sat, then receiving a 'sorry, that letter was a mistake, you're actually on a waiting list for 6 months' letter on Weds. I rang the office and they said they had fewer vacancies that anticipated, hence the error. Just as well I didn't go out and blow my savings in the interim.
Anyway, so now I am apparently 'joint top' of the waiting list, with an interview score of 29 out of 45, but because they have filled the vacancies, it's dependent on someone either dropping out or failing the checks. I really wish I knew in practice whether I stood a chance. Plus, there were 3 similar posts in my area with a closing date of last Monday, which I would have applied for had I not had the 'success' letter on Saturday.
It's all so frustrating:mad::idea:0 -
That's bad news Lili2008! You never know though, being joint 1st on the waiting list is better than nothing. I would keep searching for alternative employment though.
Good luck!0 -

Thanks! I will.
I don't know what 'being joint 1st' really means though. In many ways, it's worse than no info whatsoever as it allows a glimmer of faint hope, which could well turn out to be a false one. What are the chances of someone turning down a post like that in the current climate?:idea:0
