DWP employment waiting list

Got my success letter for HEO on Tuesday and had a call today to tell me what location I will be working in, subject to checks. I had been successful for the EO role and checks had been started for that, when I meantioned it they said they would get copies of them to speed things up. If this happens to any of you tell them about it because different teams do different roles and locations and there isn't a cross reference system - or so it appears.
Congratulations!
I got the very same call today. Which location have they offered you?0 -

I got an unsuccessful letter for the Midlands HEO this week, but good luck to all the successful candidates.
I only saw the advert for the Birmingham HEO vacancy but when I went for interview I was told that there had been so many applicants applying to multiple areas that they had combined the separate areas into one project. There were 5 different areas IRC59051/59066/59067/59069 and 59071.
I also selected no preference for areas to work in.
Sorry to hear you weren't successful, but do keep trying. I was successful at HEO level in the West Midlands, yet I wasn't even invited to tests / interviews for some of the AO and EO vacancies where I am based in Derbyshire / South Yorkshire.Good luck with any other exercises you may have applied to.

Hi-I had AO interview in Peterborough on 29 April and had success letter dated 16 May. Starting pre recruitment checks. My preferred locations are, Cambridge, Peterborough, Newmarket & Huntingdon. Other than the success letter, I have heard nothing.:rotfl:
Same interview and letter dates as me. I have only put 2 preferences down though, but now thinking i could/should have put more!0 -

I'm still waiting to hear the outcome of the EO interview for Birmingham, that was on the 20th, day after the HEO, already waiting for a placement in Wolverhampton or Coventry.
Erdington's the local JC+ for LDV by the way, that might be why they're moving themselves on that one.0 -

Well good luck with those then and I hope you hear from one of them soon. Thanks for the info, that's very useful. I didn't realise Erdington was the local JC+ for LDV. As I've already mentioned I'm not from the area hence my lack of local knowledge. Do you know the area well? Where would you suggest I look for rental property local / commutable to Erdington?0 -
Congrats!! When/where do you start?
Do you know any more about the role?
Hi samr, Start date is mid-July and I will be working in Handsworth.
The job itself is more or less as described by ega05dm with us managing a team. With the demand the way it is at the moment and the high level of EO/AO recruitment that has been going on we will need to be up and running as soon as possible. Exciting times!!!:T0 -
Hi ega05dm, Congrats on getting your role. I think you and I may end up on the same courses as I am going to be working in Handsworth. I leave an equal distance between Handsworth & Erdington (but they are in different directions). As far as where you should live it depends on how much money you want to pay for rent/property. Erdington is a little off Spaghetti Junction (Jt 6) of M6 so there are loads of places you can live and get there quickly. Try Sutton Coldfield, Streetly, Great Barr for starters.
Thanks a lot for your help. The only thing that limits me in choosing where to live is that I don't drive and would be reliant on public transport. Are there quite good links public transport wise in this area? I am willing to pay up to £625 pcm, but around £550pcm would be better.0 -
Hi all bit of a newbie to the site - didn't even know you could get to find out your place on the merit list until I read some posts on here, so thanks for that! I applied for IRC 59200 and 59206 and found out that I'm 16th and 25th on the lists, my question is this does anyone have any idea how long it will take to eventually get to my 'turn'?? - Got made redundant a few months ago and starting to get a wee bit fed up (though today in the sun with an ice cold lager wasn't that bad !!)
Thanks in advance for any help/advice you guys can give0 -

Erdington's well served by public transport, you won't have any problem getting around.0
