Hi,
I wasn't having a go at anyone! I was just clearing up something that Sigrid had misunderstood in my own post! I'm grateful to Sigrid for the information they have offered in this thread. Take it easy!0 -
I was wondering if its worthwhile calling Disclosures & checking out the progress on CRB.....0
-
depends how long its been since you've sent the forms in
1-2 weeks - no
3-4 weeks yes.... probably just a quick POLITE call .... lol
I'm all too happy to find out info for people who start their call with "hi I'm calling about IRC BLA. my name is BLA. I was wondering BLA"
clear, consise and means I can write a note and get back to you!
job done = happy sigrid
EDIT: actually add after IRC where abouts in the country you are as we get loads of calls for wrong teams lol! if you have the letter with the recruiters name on too (and they didnt answer the phone) give that information too
thanx Sigrid....so where can I call you???? lol.....DWP would have received all my forms...CRB, Payslips etc on 13th Feb....when do you think they would have sent out the CRB form.....& how long should I wait before I can give them a polite shout....

uh I know its annoying when you are already staff but don't take it out on us! it REALLY isnt our fault or problem and it really puts a downer on your day when someone has a go because they've failed! i have people telling me their working history and im like YEA??? because theres nothing i can do! the "numbers in boxes" is the way its done and that is that!
like i said in other posts people from the job centre are actually the WORST candidates because they act as if you should know them when they introduce themselves! funnily enough i cannot remember 1000+ names from all my recruitments.
in future just be polite and accept it. the only thing we can tell you is which section you failed on, we don't care if you've been an EO for your whole life! sorry to be harsh but thats the truth!
Thanks for your replies, I know its nothing personal and that wasn't aimed at you. Hope you didn't think it was.
Can I confirm that I can ask what parts of the sift I failed on?
At least with the internal recruitments you have a sense of your past history counting for something, although I guess there is pros and cons to both. The external one for what I reckon would have been a large number applying would have been very slow if done any other way.Nothing to see here :beer:0 -
Hey guyzzz.....I sent out my CRB form on 12th Feb to DWP & today I received my original Disclosure copy.....so in effect as they mentioned on their letter its taken just 20 days.....yipeee.......0

Good news! I'm still waiting for mine, although I did only send it at the beginning of March. By the way, does anyone know what code to put in the CRB tracker on their website? I noted down the 16 digit barcode number on the top of the CRB form but the tracker says it want an 11 digit number??!!?0 -
I have been given a start date for JCP and this has been confirmed by post but I have never filled in a CRB form, reading a lot of posts on here most people seem to have filled this in somewhere along the recruitment process any ideas why I have not?0

I take it these DWP posts are fixed term contracts as once the economy recovers less people will be claiming resulting in less work for staff?0
