Received a letter this a.m. acknowledging return of application form. Form returned Jan 3rd. for Fixed term account.
I'm actually impressed, and that doesn't happen often, certainly not where bureaucracy is involved.Hope for the best.....Plan for the worst!

I'm so delighted for those of you have received cheques today. As I've still heard nothing I decided to phone, spoke to a lovely lady, who didn't seem to be able to find anything about receiving my form (sent 22nd Dec) on her system, and claimed that their IT system had had problems in Dec. She has to contact someone else and promises to get back to me within 48 hours. My FTB matured in early Jan. I would suggest that anyone else whose accounts have matured and have not heard anything should phone them if only to prompt them to do something.0

ooooh la la, I got 2 cheques today. One 12 weeks after maturity and one 5 weeks after. I am very pleased and dh is trecking a round trip of 22 miles to bank them today, via bus if running!!! He hasn`t had his bond which matured 12 weeks ago but I kicked up a rumpus. We`ll see what happens with his over the next week
I see you sent your dh to endure the inevitable questioning about (a) the cheques (b) what are you going to do with the money? "We've got some wonderful products paying a whole 1% if you're interested" etc.
I went through the ordeal in LloydsTSB on Tuesday. The guy took me off to a separate room, asked about the cheques, but didn't know about Icesave ISA transfer procedure. He then, realising that they had no good products which stood up against my plans for the money, tried to sell me a 3 year investment plan based on the rise in the FTSE100.
He's tried to sell me, a 'just rescued by the FSCS from Icesave person', a plan based in the Isle of Man & Jersey with no FSCS backup!
The cheques were cashed, that's all I care, even though I will have to wait until Monday to get access to it.0 -
true Lesu. He just says `my wife deals with all that`
now I am trying to find places tp put some of it and that is frustrating too0 -

Guess what?
"The system doesn't show the receipt, I'll just write a mail to the relevant department and call you back"
ARGH!!!!
Of course I still haven't heard from them, so if nothing happens until tomorrow afternoon I'll call again.
I'm not *that* worried or hurried, since my fixed accts only end in May and October, but if they don't have the form in the first place, come those months I won't get anything.
What keeps me going is thinking they're earning interest at 7%
Just read your post and called with same with the same result. Not found will call you back ARGGGGGGGG..."The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Still waiting
2 ISA accounts but original bank feeder account closed & moved house to boot. New address informed on partners account but not mine.
Mine £6200 - form returned Dec 08. Letter requesting proof of different address & bank account. I duly sent this back. Letter returning it to me by Spec. Delivery to sign for - got very excited needlessly here. Received another letter saying they are verifying my new address (all posted to my new address mind you) - now I just wait I guess
Partner £6300 - Form received & returned in January. No acknowledgement no request of further evidence of different bank account.
Ho hum0 -
I am speechless!
I really got a call back from the FSCS this afternoon and they told me not to worry because they had my application.
And they said they were processing it and would send me something in 2 or 3 weeks: I wonder what it is, since my accounts only mature in May and October - maybe it's their general reply, hehe
It seems it was like I said - they had the pile of paper forms in one corner, never registered in the system, and it's only if you call and ask that they go there and get it on, so I'd advise anyone to call and confirm receipt, even if they don't mature in several monthsBeing brave is going after your dreams head on0 -
I returned my forms to claim for my fixed rate account on 18/01/09
This account matured on 28/01/09 and today I received my cheque!!! I was really surprised as having read some of the threads on here I didn't expect such a fast response. Didn't have any other communication after sending in the forms - just the envelope today with the cheque. I am very happy. :j Hope all who are still waiting soon get a happy ending too.0 -
Likewise received a cheque today for FTD that matured on the 24th Jan.
Quite impressed with FSCS, only 2 weeks from maturity.
Hope my other two go as well later this year.0 -
No such luck for me. Returned my paper form back in mid November (after many many calls and letters - just to get that!). Have called every week and they still cant tell me if theyve even received my claim form!
Their site said they were aiming for a 6 week turnaround - but when I spoke to them last week - they said theyve fallen behind - and may be 8 to 10 weeks.
I understand theyve had a lot to deal with - but Im still not happy with the lack of any feedback from them...0
