As I am having trouble getting OH's ISA I tried the above link and have received a response. It just remaims to be seen whether it generates the proceeds of the ISA!0 -

Oh god,
sent in paper application before Christmas. Still no cheque. Phone FSCS
a few weeks back and was given a ref. no. etc and told they are getting
cheques out by 6 weeks or before. I have to wait til next week to call
them back. Am getting worried in case the whole system collapses. Is this a bit daft of me?! Am I just getting paranoid?:eek:0 -

This is what i got today guys..... I have checked and I am afraid there is no receipt of us receiving your application form.
I have arranged for another form to be sent out to you today. Please let me know when you have sent this back and I will get confirmation of receipt.
I understand your frustration so when we receive your form we will look to complete it as soon as possible.
I can believe this, im so disappointed.0 -

Not too difficult to believe, FSCS is a complete shambles. This is the 1st time they have been tested, god help us if a British major bank folds. There needs to be some serious butt kicking after this fiasco. I expect that if this Iceland collapse is ever sorted there will be some fat bonus cheques being paid out and no doubt some promotions when in fact they all need sacking!!!!!!!!!0 -
ooooh la la, I got 2 cheques today. One 12 weeks after maturity and one 5 weeks after. I am very pleased and dh is trecking a round trip of 22 miles to bank them today, via bus if running!!! He hasn`t had his bond which matured 12 weeks ago but I kicked up a rumpus. We`ll see what happens with his over the next week0

Well done kittie! I like seeing messages like yours because it gives me hope that mine will get sorted soon. :T0 -
After seeing all these messes, I decided to call them today, just to confirm that my application had been received (send end of December).
Guess what?
"The system doesn't show the receipt, I'll just write a mail to the relevant department and call you back"
ARGH!!!!
Of course I still haven't heard from them, so if nothing happens until tomorrow afternoon I'll call again.
I'm not *that* worried or hurried, since my fixed accts only end in May and October, but if they don't have the form in the first place, come those months I won't get anything.
What keeps me going is thinking they're earning interest at 7%Being brave is going after your dreams head on0 -
Well done Kittie!!!!:T:beer::j0
